Captain Planet, who? Let’s just call this fifty shades of green! Clueless actress and eco-conscious Alicia Silverstone is taking her role in trying to save the planet seriously. So seriously, in fact, that she has decided to speak out on behalf of the green earth to promote an eco-friendly vibrator.

Yes, you read that correctly. Silverstone, 36, who is a self-proclaimed “sometimes naughty vegan” explained just why women would benefit from the line of vibrators made by The Leaf in a blog post for OpenSky.com. On the site, Alicia writes, “OK, ladies—sometimes it’s nice to have a little extra…something…when you’re getting it on (solo, with your partner…whatever floats your boat).”

Although it’s not known how Alicia Silverstone initially got involved with the manufacturer which doles out these ultra green collection of vibrators, Silverstone clearly seems to be gung ho about the whole thing. She continued to describe the vibrator product designed by The Leaf, explaining they, “come in a bunch of different shapes, all inspired by nature. I like that they look natural and feminine…like leaves and flowers…not scary.”

If that doesn’t get the average reader excited about the line of vibrators from The Leaf, Silverstone explains just how green they really are for potential naysayers, writing, “Plus, they’re made from phalate-free, super-soft (and safe) silicone. And they use rechargeable batteries. And they’re shipped to you in packaging that’s not only discreet, but made from recycled materials.”

The tag line, you ask? Silverstone points out, “It’s nice to know that you can get your green on and your groove on at the same time!”

Of course this isn’t the first time that Alicia Silverstone is making headlines for her lifestyle choices. The actress made big waves earlier in the year for her stance on breast feeding in public, and her mouth to mouth unorthodox technique in feeding her son Bear.
