‘Kate Plus 8’ Star Kate Gosselin Headed To Court Concerning Disappearance Of Son, Collin

When the original trailers started airing for Kate Plus 8, many long-time fans noticed that one of the kids was missing. Twelve-year-old Collin was nowhere to be seen. Collin did appear in a later trailer for the show, and his mother Kate Gosselin told Entertainment Tonight Online that Collin was sent somewhere for children with special needs.

That is now causing problems for ex-husband Jon Gosselin. In an exclusive ET Online interview this week with the former Jon and Kate Plus 8 star, Jon said that he does not know where Collin is and that Kate Gosselin won’t tell him and won’t return texts about the situation. As a result, Jon said he is taking Kate to court.

Jon Gosselin also said that he has asked his other kids, but none of them know where Collin was sent away to either. When asked about his special needs, Jon defended his son and said it wasn’t as bad as Kate Gosselin made it sound in a recent tell-all interview.

“I could see my kids getting annoyed with that because he’s the smartest and he does this, and he does that, and he always wants it his way. He’s very particular, which could be bothersome. But, he’s very loving too. He was a cuddly kid as a baby.”

Both Collin and his sister, Alexis, were allegedly expelled from school after they allegedly harmed an adult at the school on two different occasions. Kate Gosselin then denied that the children were expelled and claimed that she was just tutoring them at home.

However, Kate Gosselin then sent Collin to the special needs center two hours from her home. According to Jon, he had not seen his son, Collin, in two years, and Kate Gosselin was refusing to let him know where their son was. In her interview, Kate said that she was doing what was best for her children.

“[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things. This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this. By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him — our entire family has been impacted.”

That is a comment that also angered Jon. Gosselin claims that he loves his children very much and has always been there for them and said that he always will be. Jon said that these Kate Gosselin interview claims were shocking to him.

In her interview, Kate Gosselin also took part of the blame for the troubles for Collin. While Kate said she misses him a great deal, she believes that part of the problem came from how she managed the household while the kids were growing up.

“If I could go back, I wouldn’t spend so much time worrying about the messes and the obsessive compulsiveness and needing to be so in control. I would spend more time nibbling little feet and cuddling up.”

One thing many fans asked when Jon and Kate Plus 8 was airing on television was how being on TV so much would affect the children. With so many stories of celebrity kids growing up and having problems, these eight children were in the middle of a mass media storm.

Kate Gosselin said that she understands now that many things that she once thought were important are no longer as important. Kate said that Collin and his health and safety are now all that is important. Jon Gosselin said he feels the same and wants to be there for his son. It will be up to a judge to determine if Jon is allowed to learn of his son’s whereabouts.
