Lauren Jauregui Confirms She’s Bisexual After ‘Lesbian Kiss’ Photo Leaks

Lauren Jauregui of Fifth Harmony has a lot on her mind. The singer was the center of lesbian rumors when a photo of her kissing another girl went viral on social media. In addition, most Americans, like Lauren, are dreading the thought of a Donald Trump presidency. Lauren decided to address both of those issues in a letter she wrote.

She wrote an emotional and passionate letter to those who voted for Donald Trump in last week’s election, as reported via PopCrush.com.

“To every single Trump supporter trying to say that voting for Trump does not mean that you are racist, homophobic, sexist, xenophobic, a**holes…that he wasn’t a politician, so he wasn’t part of the establishment and didn’t have corrupt money backing him…this is for you,” Jauregui penned the open letter, which was first published in Billboard.

“You are HYPOCRITES. Restoring the America-that-was is only stagnating the progression of our consciousness. You voted for a person who built an 18-month campaign off the back of your hatred. I am a bisexual Cuban-American woman and I am so proud of it. I am proud to be part of a community that only projects love and education and the support of one another,” she confirmed the rumors about her sexuality in her letter.

Read the rest of Lauren’s letter in Billboard. Earlier on this week, Fifth Harmony fans supported Lauren when a photo of her kissing another girl named Lucy Vives hit social media. The photo was cropped from a collage on Instagram, and shows Lauren having an intimate kiss with the mystery woman. According to The Sun, fans assumed that the woman Lauren was kissing is Lucy Vives – whose father is Colombian actor Carlos Vives.

It has been assumed that the picture was taken during a wedding on Friday, Nov. 11, and the photo was accidentally posted on Lauren Jauregui’s Instagram page. That didn’t stop some fans from making the photo go viral on social media. Thousands of Fifth Harmony fans shared the photo alongside supportive messages about the starlet. The hashtag #LongLoveLauren also started to trend on Twitter, though there was no confirmation whether the kiss was romantic or platonic.

Fans alleged that Jauregui and Vives were romantically involved since the singer looked happy to be with her friend.

“I don’t care if she’s straight, gay, bi, a unicorn or whatever you want her to be, I love her to the moon and back anyway #LongLoveLauren,” one fan wrote.

“Her smile is truly everything. Seeing her happy is so important,” another added.

Carlo Vives also commented on his daughter’s kiss with the 5H star, which has been translated.

“This country needs more love, we should love each other rather than hate each other,” he said. “I’ve always told my kids that in all their acts, everything they do, do it with love. When they called me to talk about the kiss I said as long as it’s kiss of love what’s behind that act, that symbolism. She’s a sociology, she’s a philosopher. She loves symbols and I think that kiss symbolizes something very important to her. And if it does, I’m her dad. That’s what I’m here for it, for her to be happy.”

He also stated that he has known Jauregui since she was a child in school. He has taught his daughter that everything she does with another person is an act of love. As for the kiss, Vives states that if the kiss came from an act of love, then the “kiss is worth a million.” Neither Jauregui, nor her reps have declined to comment on the photo, but it looks like her letter via Billboard is her first public statement.
