‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7: Episodes 6, 7, And 8 Titles And Synopsis Revealed — Possible Set Up For Mid-Season Finale And Comic Tie-Ins [Spoilers]

The Walking Dead Season 7 saga gets juicier as Episodes 6, 7, and 8’s titles and synopsis have been unveiled, according to ComicBook.com. Spoilers are contained within, so be warned. As the Season 7 story builds, each episode so far has been focusing in on clusters of characters and their whereabouts in the communities of The Kingdom, Negan’s Sanctuary, Alexandria, and this Sunday’s Hilltop Colony. The last of which is Episode 5, entitled “Go Getters.”

A New Society Discovered?

Now The Walking Dead Episode 6 is entitled “Swear,” and the synopsis is as follows.

“Someone stumbles upon a brand new society, and this society is unlike anything seen before.”

This could either be interpreted two ways. For one, there were rumors earlier this month regarding actors Corey Hawkins and Alanna Masterson on-location near the water, beach side, at Georgia’s Jekyll Island. A new group is reportedly being introduced in this episode.

Could this be the aforementioned society?

On the other hand, could the synopsis mean that Rick Grimes may run into the already discovered Kingdom? Perhaps he will take heed of the rumored Morse code message that Daryl has delivered and head out on the road. Maybe he will bump into King Ezekiel and his people to develop a plan to take out the Saviors.

Of course, the latter part of the Episode 6 synopsis says, “…this society is unlike anything seen before.” Could this mean the newly discovered community would be that of the Whisperers that was teased on the The Walking Dead Instagram page?

Tara and Heath were last seen going on a lengthy supply run. Alexandria is going to need it since Negan will be pillaging their wares.

Does Carl Grimes Sing For Sanctuary Dog Food?

The Walking Dead’s Episode 7, titled “Sing Me A Song,” may be recognizable by devoted comic book fans. There’s an alteration made here because in the comics, Carl stowed away on one of Negan’s trucks armed and ready. In this episode, he may wind up in The Sanctuary much sooner. The comic book had Carl arrive at the complex, kill some of the Saviors, but he is then captured and forced to sing to them after they removed his eye patch.

Apparently, this is one of the memorable scenes recognized via the artistry of The Walking Dead comics. The synopsis takes a better view of Negan’s venue.

“A deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies.”

This could mean Episode 7 may run in alignment with Carl’s discovery of Negan’s Sanctuary, but no one can be too sure until the show airs.

Possible Set-Up For Mid-Season Finale

Finally, Episode 8 of The Walking Dead is entitled “Hearts Still Beating.” The synopsis reads as follows.

“Negan’s unwelcome visit to Alexandria continues as other members scavenge for supplies; things quickly spin out of control.”

Of course it’s stating the obvious that Negan is not welcome. He did burn their mattresses instead of actually using them for the Sanctuary. Chances are this visit will be business as usual, both taking and antagonizing while doing so.

There is a tease pulled from the comics and ties to the Episode 8 synopsis. This is when Negan arrived in Alexandria without Rick Grimes present as he was busy at The Kingdom. Negan engaged in dialogue with an “ever-defiant character,” according to ComicBook.com.

The Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers continue, so you are further warned.

Actor Austin Nichols, who plays Spencer Monroe, gave his take in the realization of the character’s death. He weighed in on the “guts” scene found in the comics and how an actor is supposed to find out about their character’s death should the time come.

“They’re supposed to tell people in advance. The funny thing about that is I’ve heard horror stories of that happening on other shows and an actors reads and finds out. That’s really cruel and I hope that doesn’t happen on our show. The hope is is that our bosses would give us some warning. We literally move our lives to Atlanta and find places to live. It’s a little bit more complicated than just reading a script and finding out that you’re dying.”

Nichols even expressed how elated he was to have a job on The Walking Dead, and found it to be a cool way to go if it did occur just like in the comics. He is, however, hoping he can stay as long as possible.

The Walking Dead airs every Sunday on the AMC network at 9 p.m. EST.
