Mike Shay Denies He’s Using Drugs Amid Rumors Of His ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Divorce, What Is Scheana Marie Saying?

Mike Shay and his wife, Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie, appear to be at odds in regard to what is going on between them.

Although Shay claims he has not fallen off the wagon after getting sober in January, rumors continue to swirl about his alleged use of drugs and alcohol, and many of those rumors claim Scheana Marie is ready to divorce her husband because of it.

“Scheana and [Mike Shay] are living separately at the moment. He’s been staying with his family. They are headed for a divorce,” a source told In Touch Weekly on November 16, revealing Scheana Marie first became suspicious of Shay after “a lot of money began disappearing from their joint bank account.”

Mike Shay claims to be sober, but despite his proclamation, he and Scheana Marie don’t appear to be anywhere close to a reconciliation. Instead, they seem to be doing their own thing, and on social media, they haven’t interacted with one another for weeks.

“[Mike Shay] needs help,” the magazine’s source continued. “Scheana believes that he’s drinking and smoking pot again. He insisted he’s sober and wants people to believe he’s innocent of everything. As much as Scheana loves him, she just can’t be with someone like that.”

There have also been contradictory reports online. For example, while TMZ claimed Scheana Marie cut off Mike Shay’s credit cards after learning he had emptied their bank account, Radar Online suggested Mike Shay left home after he found out “some things” about his wife that left him furious and proceeded to move in with his family.

The Radar Online report didn’t reveal what things it was that Mike Shay had found out but noted that their marriage was “beyond repair.”

Around the time of Radar Online‘s report, Mike Shay spoke to fans on Instagram and confirmed that he was not missing. He also said he was sober and happy.

“Don’t believe everything you read,” he added. “I love my wife and will always love my wife. Whatever is going on between us will stay between us! I love my family and my family loves me and a lot of things have been said out is protection and anger by many people. I just ready for the next chapter in my life!”

As for what the couple is saying recently on social media, Mike Shay has remained completely silent since his November 7 Instagram post. Meanwhile, his wife has stayed active throughout their split and recently chronicled her trip to Chicago with Stassi Schroeder on both Twitter and Instagram.

In one of Scheana Marie’s latest Twitter posts, the reality star told fans she had treated her fellow bar patrons to a “total impromptu” performance of her single, “Good As Gold.”

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay were together when Vanderpump Rules began and during Season 2, Shay proposed at the Beverly Hills home of Lisa Vanderpump. One season later, with their family, friends, and co-stars watching, Scheana Marie and Mike Shay said their “I dos.”

About a year after tying the knot, Mike Shay began struggling with an alleged addiction to prescription medication, and right away, his marriage began to suffer. As fans saw during Season 4, Scheana Marie wasn’t quite sure how to handle the situation, especially when Shay would spend time away from her. Then, by the end of the season, Mike Shay and Scheana Marie seemed to have their marriage back on track.
