RHOC Lauri Peterson Son Charged Again: Felony Drug Possession Added To Attempted Murder Charges

Former Real Housewives Of Orange County star Lauri Peterson’s son Josh is currently in jail awaiting trial on attempted murder charges, and now he has been charged with felony drug possession.

It looks like Josh Waring just can not stay out of trouble. RHOC Lauri Peterson’s son has always exhibited troublesome behavior dating back to the family’s airtime on the Bravo reality series.

Radar Online is reporting that Josh Waring has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance while behind bars.

Lauri Peterson’s son is currently awaiting trial for his attempted murder case. He was charged with the drug possession on November 3, 2016. If Waring is convicted of the felony charge, he will face even more prison time.

Josh has been held in the Orange County Jail since June 20. He was arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of a man named Daniel Lopez. The 35-year-old victim was shot in the lower torso near his home in Costa Mesa, California.

Reports from that day stated that Lauri’s son Josh was involved in a confrontation earlier that day with one of the residents in the victim’s community. Josh allegedly returned later and shot Daniel Lopez. Lopez survived the shooting, but he was hospitalized for his injuries.

Josh Waring reportedly stole a BMW SUV and fled the scene before police arrived at the crime scene. The former Real Housewives star was busted shortly after he left when a helicopter spotted the vehicle.

Josh Waring was booked on three counts of suspicion of attempted murder, assault and battery, felony evading police, vehicle theft, and hit-and-run.

There is allegedly a criminal complaint, which revealed that Waring would face a harsher sentencing for personal use of a firearm and for inflicting great bodily injury on someone.

Lauri Peterson’s son bond was set to $1 million. In July, Josh pleaded non-guilty to the three counts of attempted murder.

Daniel Lopez filed a civil lawsuit against Josh Waring last month.

The suit claims that Josh came to the sober living facility on June 19th, the day before the crime, to drop off a cell phone that belonged to someone living in the home.

Josh came back around 2:30 a.m. and began honking his horn loudly. Member of the sober living community demanded that he leave, but then he sped around and headed for the people, shooting and striking Lopez.

Lauri Peterson’s son apparently used to live at this sober living community and had allegedly been involved in multiple disturbing situations, including violence, drug use, and failure to follow the rules.

In the civil suit, Lopez claimed that Josh’s attack forced him to suffer hospital and medical expenses, wage loss, loss of earning capacity, and general damages.

Daniel Lopez is seeking unspecified damages.

Josh Waring appeared on The Real Housewives Of Orange County years back. His troublesome behavior was evident back then. Josh struggled with drug abuse and addiction. Many think her son was the reason that Lauri ultimately ended up leaving the show.

According to the OC Register, Lauri Peterson had no idea that she was going to leave the Real Housewives at the beginning of the season.

“Josh was arrested (for heroin possession and being under the influence) just hours after I finished my first day of filming. My intentions were good, but I just felt very conflicted.”

“I was traumatized by Josh’s arrest. I truly was completely emotionally unavailable. I was crying continually, and I wasn’t helping my son. For me, I needed to really pull back, concentrate on my emotional well being and deal with the aftermath of the arrest.”

That was in 2008, and now, almost ten years later, Josh is awaiting murder charges.
