Iggy Azalea Pays Homage To Her ‘Award-Winning Vagina’ And Disses Australia Again

Iggy Azalea was honored back in her native country when GQ Australia presented the rap star with their Woman of the Year award, but Azalea’s acceptance speech did little to express her gratitude either to the magazine, to Australia, or even to herself. Instead, Iggy revealed that it was her feeling that one part of her body in particular was especially responsible for her success and for being recognized as GQ Australia‘s Woman of the Year. In fact, Azalea repeated a past habit of throwing shade at her native land, even as Iggy accepted the award in front of those Australians who love her most of all.

Iggy Azalea Thanks Her Vagina For Making Her Worthy Of Her Woman Of The Year Award

In accepting her Woman of the Year award from GQ Australia, E! News reveals that Ms. Azalea spoke with a blend of both sincerity and satirical humor by telling the attendees that she was grateful for the honor. Iggy commented that it was the first award she has received for being a woman, feeling that the Woman of the Year award meant to draw greater attention to her womanhood than to her expertise as a musical artist.

“I’ve got the best vagina in the world,” Azalea told the Daily Telegraph after accepting her trophy. “I have won a lot of awards over the last few years but this one means the absolute most to me because I can finally say I have an award-winning vagina.”

While Iggy seemed to be ridiculing the idea of being awarded for her femininity, she also showed up to the award ceremony in an outfit that emphasized her feminine aspects. Azalea wore a black blazer, unbuttoned, with nothing underneath and matching black pants. Her exposed cleavage and stomach was accentuated by the Bulgari snake choker hanging loosely about her neck and the diamond and emerald necklace, which reached almost as far as her navel.

“I don’t know. Some days I just think I want to crawl into a cave because I don’t feel confident at all, and then other days I feel great,” Azalea said of working toward her goals. “I think it’s like that for all human beings, not just young women. I think feeling confident or 100 percent every day is something to aspire to, but I don’t know if it’s humanly possible for anybody. And I think it’s just having that honest moment with yourself and other people and almost admitting and embracing your flaws or the things that you sometimes feel bad about can empower your own self.”

Iggy Azalea Disses Australia, But Still Doesn’t “Know Why People Get Offended”

Since achieving fame and rising to success, Daily Mail reports that Iggy has left Australia and seems only to return for special occasions, such as being named the recipient of an award. In fact, Ms. Azalea shares there is no love lost over leaving Australia and making a permanent home in the United States, which is why she says it’s surprising that her former countrymen are offended by the ways in which she tries to distance herself from all things Australian.

“I don’t know why people get so offended as (Australia) is not my home,” 26-year-old Iggy Azalea said. “I don’t miss Australia.”

Iggy says she has made a wonderful home in America and has no desire to return to Australia on a permanent basis, though she adds that she does go back to visit her grandparents from time to time. Otherwise, Azalea says, she has no “home connection” to Australia. Iggy moved to the United States at the age of 16, because she had always felt like an outsider in Australia, where there isn’t a thriving hip hop culture. Azalea says she wanted to be closer to the birthplace of rap and hip hop.

“America is the birthplace of that, so I figured the closer I was to the music, the happier I’d be. I was right,” explained Iggy Azalea.

Ms. Azalea says Australia and the U.K. aren’t as accepting of the rap and hip hop genres, so it made sense for her to make her home in America.
