Jill Duggar Counting On Days To El Salvador, Attends Derick Dillard Family Wedding With Baby After Jinger And Jeremy Set Off To Honeymoon

When Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard returned to the U.S. this summer, they said that they plan to go back to Central America to continue their mission. However, summer has come and gone, now Thanksgiving is knocking on the door, and it looks like Jill and Derick are showing no signs of heading back to El Salvador. Instead, they are attending wedding after wedding, including the highly publicized Jinger and Jeremy’s as well as Derick’s brother Dan’s.

At least saying in the US is a lot safer for baby Israel, who just turned a year and a half!

As one of the stars of Jill and Jessa Counting On, the 25-year-old mother of one keeps her Instagram account active with pictures from her daily life. The latest picture on her account is from the wedding of Derick Dillard’s brother, Dan Dillard.

Looks like she dressed up baby Israel to the nines to make sure that he makes a good impression on his dad’s side of the family!

With Jinger and Jeremy’s wedding out of the way, there really is no reason that Jill and Derick should hang back in the US, delaying the days till they have to return to El Salvador.

“While we are stateside in the US for this brief time, we want to continue to make the most of both our time and resources,” Derick wrote on family blog a month ago. “Jill and I are taking Bible classes, sharing the story of our mission with people in the US and preparing to return to Central America. Your support is helping make this possible. When our schedule allows, I’m also working a number of jobs in between for additional support of my family.”

But recently, the safety concerns for Jill, Derick and their baby Israel had gone up when it was revealed on Jill and Jessa Counting On that the family lives in fear and anger in Central America.

“Every week, it seems like there would be different instances because Derick would preach one night a week a little distance from our house, so I would be at home alone with Israel,” Jill said. “One night, we were getting ready to go to bed, and we heard this loud crashing sound. Derick’s like, ‘You go in the bathroom,’ which is our safe room. We have our laptops, so we were messaging people back home like, ‘Pray for us. We don’t know what’s going on.'”

While this is news for the Counting On fans, it is something that the Duggar and Dillard family new about throughout their missionary work. That’s why that Duggar family members were so thrilled to have them back, even for a short time, at home.

“We’re all really excited,” Jessa said according to Us Weekly. “For most everybody, it’s been nearly 10 months since they’ve got to hang out with them and see them in person. Jill and I have had so much in common over these past three years. It’s been difficult for me not to have that connection with her, sister to sister — now mom to mom. So we’re looking forward to having them back.”

Until they have to return to El Salvador, as promised, Derick and Jill have been spending their time very efficiently. They have uploaded pictures of them doing bible study as a couple, attending family events and weddings and furthering the midwife training that Jill received.
