WWE News: Daniel Bryan Confirms These Two ‘Raw’ Superstars Want To Move To ‘SmackDown LIVE’

As this Sunday’s Survivor Series draws ever closer, the two WWE brands are trying to get in their final shots at one another. Last night after Monday Night Raw, there was a “State of the WWE Universe” debate, and it saw the general managers and commissioners square off. During the segment on WWE Network, there were a few interesting points brought up by SmackDown LIVE general manager Daniel Bryan, including two Raw superstars who would like to be traded.

Last night after Monday Night Raw, the WWE Network aired a “State of the WWE Universe” special. Renee Young was the moderator, and as recapped by WrestleZone, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley were on one side, while SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan were on the other.

There were a number of barbs thrown back and forth while talking about Survivor Series, but Bryan threw out some interesting things. At one point, he mentioned TNA on a WWE show and then talked about how there are two Raw guys ready to jump ship to SmackDown LIVE.

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon appeared on last night’s Monday Night Raw to hype up this weekend’s Survivor Series. Bryan revealed on the “State of the WWE Universe” that while he was backstage, two Raw superstars spoke with him and said they wanted to move to SmackDown LIVE.

The first superstar is Sami Zayn, who has been rather lost in the shuffle for some time now and only recently received another spotlight chance. Zayn won a match against Rusev last week on Raw, which gave him a match for Dolph Ziggler’s Intercontinental Title at Survivor Series. If Zayn wins, he gets to bring the title to Raw.

There is a second Raw star who told Daniel Bryan he wants to move to Tuesday nights, and that is Cesaro. This is another rather interesting name as Cesaro has really been held in mid-card limbo for a while as well, but he was placed in a tag team with Sheamus a couple of months ago. They had a feud with The New Day for the tag titles but failed to capture them.

In a rather ironic twist to Cesaro being one of the names hoping to be traded, Wrestling Inc. wrote about Bryan tweeting the Raw superstar back in September. It seemed to be friendly back-and-forth, but strange now that his name comes up again.

Right now, there really hasn’t been a lot of movement since the WWE superstar draft, with the most notable exception being Jack Swagger. He was originally drafted to Monday Night Raw, and his contract was “expiring” soon after that, so he left Monday nights and “signed” with SmackDown LIVE.

A full group of superstars could also be switching brands soon if Survivor Series has anything to say about it. The Brian Kendrick (Raw) will defend his Cruiserweight Title against Kalisto (SmackDown LIVE) on Sunday. If Kalisto wins, he not only brings the title belt to Tuesday nights but the entire cruiserweight division.

If Daniel Bryan could swing a deal or trade to get Cesaro and Sami Zayn to SmackDown LIVE, there could be a lot of new faces on Tuesday nights soon. Oh, and Raw could have a new face soon as well as Daniel Bryan recently revealed that he would be up for trading The Miz if he lost his rematch to Dolph Ziggler.

There has not really been any movement since the brand split and the WWE superstar draft back in the summer. Now, all of a sudden, there is the possibility that a number of superstars could be going from Monday Night Raw to SmackDown LIVE or vice versa. Daniel Bryan has confirmed that Cesaro and Sami Zayn already told him they wouldn’t mind being traded but could that really take place? Never say never in WWE.
