Is Jeremy Mayfield NASCAR’s scapegoat?

Jeremy Mayfield thinks he is being made an example of. He thinks NASCAR is using him, and his two positive drug tests as an example of what not to do, and that NASCAR is being heavy handed with him to tech everyone in the NASCAR garage a lesson. While this theory, pushed by Mayfield, is completely up surd, NASCAR only has itself to blame. Because of the way NASCAR chooses to conduct itself this kind of crazy theories get a lot of credence.

For example I have had NASCAR Press Credentials for more than two years now, and I cannot get a copy of the NASCAR rule book or the NASCAR drug policy to go over, and explain to all of you. NASCAR has constantly balked at disclosing this kind of information to the press, and it causes problems such as the Mayfield drama.

Let us be really clear, the facts here are clear and not in dispute by either party. Jeremy failed not one but two separate NASCAR drug tests. It has been revealed that Mayfield tested positive for meth, and he was therefore suspended. NASCAR gave Jeremy the chance to attend some drug programs in order to get reinstated buy he decided he would be in his best interests to fight this out in the courts.

Jeremy is seeking his full reinstatement to NASCAR, and monetary damages, and NASCAR is likely looking to keep this man out of their sports. Why? Well Jeremy is a loud mouth jerk who regularly goes to the press with stuff instead of trying to work it out with his employer. If Jeremy is the scapegoat of any one thing it is Karma. After years of running off at the mouth, Jeremy is getting exactly what he deserves.
