Will Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Get Back Together? Her Father Jon Voight Weighs In

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are in the midst of a messy divorce, but could the high-profile couple ultimately give their relationship another chance?

Nearly two months after the couple shockingly parted ways after 12 years together and six children, rumors are swirling in regard to their potential reunion and Jon Voight, for one, hopes his daughter and her husband can work through their issues for the sake of their family.

During the premiere of Fantastic Beasts last week, as revealed by Hollywood Life on November 12, Voight spoke to E! News about his daughter’s family and future happiness.

“I appreciate everybody’s concern and their prayers, hopefully things will work out,” Voight said.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19 after two years of marriage and a short time later, Brad Pitt was accused of child abuse due to an altercation between the 52-year-old actor and his oldest son, Maddox, on their private plane earlier that month. Although the investigation continued on for weeks, it was announced last Wednesday that Brad Pitt had been cleared of all charges by the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services.

Since the divorce filing, Brad Pitt and Voight have reportedly been in touch and formed a “close bond.” In fact, Us Weekly revealed that Voight had informed Brad Pitt that Jolie can often be “erratic” like her mother, Marcheline Bertrand.

“[Brad Pitt] told her dad that what he loves about her is how passionate and extreme she is,” a source told the magazine.

“He’s been drawn to that.”

After discovering that Brad Pitt had been in touch with her father, Jolie was said to be upset.

“She is really pissed at her dad,” the insider explained.

“She is really bothered that he is talking to [Brad Pitt]. … Angelina is speaking to [Voight] but not a lot and not telling him hardly anything because she doesn’t trust him.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were together for 12 years but only married for two and during the relationship, they welcomed three children biologically, including daughter Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, and adopted three children from other countries, including 15-year-old Maddox from Cambodia, 12-year-old Pax from Vietnam, and 11-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia.

As for Brad Pitt’s kids with the 41-year-old actress, sources claim they aren’t doing well — and that Jolie is struggling to keep their brood happy and content at their new home in Malibu, California.

“Angelina Jolie has been struggling with keeping the kids happy,” an insider told Hollywood Life.

“It’s been weeks since the kids moved out of their home and they are getting homesick. The children are sad, miss the huge house they grew up in, and have been complaining to Angelina that they want to go home. The older children are not happy with the situation while the younger kids are having trouble understanding why they can’t just go home.”

According to the report, “home” is Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz home, where he remains as his wife and kids are out on the coast of Los Angeles.

“The Los Feliz home has been where the kids have spent most of their time growing up,” the insider continued.

“[Brad Pitt] has built a huge skate ramp for the kids on the property and they all have their own rooms there too. They may have lots of houses but the Los Feliz house has always been home.”
