Kandi Burruss Defends Using Her Son Ace As A Way To Make Money: Is She Not Protecting Her Son?

Kandi Burruss has introduced her son, Ace, to the world on the season premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. On the first episode, Kandi revealed that she had chosen to potty train her son from a very young age, which didn’t sit well with many of her followers. Burruss was criticized for her decision even though she claimed that it worked well with her daughter when she was just a baby. And the criticism didn’t stop there, as Kandi revealed that she was launching a new baby collection on the show’s second episode. In other words, Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, are using Ace to make some money.

According to a new tweet, Kandi Burruss was faced with questions after last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired, as she told viewers about her brand new business venture. Apparently, Kandi felt that if she created an exclusive and luxurious line of baby items, people would want to buy them.

And since her son, Ace, already has a massive following on social media, Burruss didn’t see anything wrong with using him as her way of making more money. In other words, Ace isn’t even one yet, and he’s already dominating his own Instagram page. But people don’t quite understand Kandi’s decision to use her son in a business deal. Why wouldn’t she respect his privacy and let him decide when he wants to be on social media?

“Why does your INFANT CHILD have a social media page?” one person asked Kandi Burruss, who defended her decision to make a business out of her newborn son.

“Because I like posting pics of him. And he can have his own page if we want him to. It’s all about him. No other products or promo. Why can’t I be proud of my baby? It’s tons of other parents that have pages for their babies. Are you asking them the same question?” Kandi Burruss answered the follower, pointing out that she wasn’t the only one who chose to share pictures of her baby on social media.

While some people may only have a few hundred followers, Kandi Burruss and her husband have thousands of people following them, and now her son has over 100,000 followers on his social media accounts. There’s no sense of privacy for this baby, and it seems like an interesting move to use Ace to launch a line of baby gear. While Burruss is known for her businesses, it does seem odd to use her son to make money. And it sounds like viewers are getting tired of seeing her working and getting tired of being pitched to.

“We don’t care about Kandi’s infomercials. enough already,” one person wrote on Twitter, saying that Kandi tends to talk about her products and her business way too much on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, to which Burruss replied, “don’t u wanna c something get accomplished? Or just drama?”

Burruss does have a good point about the show being primarily about drama, but people tune in to see the drama. They don’t tune in to see the ladies create business deals, and they surely don’t enjoy being marketed to. Many of the housewives have created products and businesses after finding fame on the show, so it can get tiring to get products pitched left and right.

What do you think of Kandi Burruss’ decision to use her son to create a large social media following and then creating a business using her son as the face of the brand? Do you think it is wise, or do you think Ace deserves his privacy?
