Josh Duggar Will Talk Politics With You If You Buy A Used Car From Him

Josh Duggar fans can meet the former 19 Kids and Counting star if they head to Siloam Springs, Arkansas to test drive one of his used cars. According to one of the disgraced Duggar’s customers, his sales pitch includes sharing his political and religious views.

On November 13, the Duggar Family News: Life Is Not All Pickles and Hairspray Facebook page shared a screenshot of an unidentified man’s Facebook post. It was dated May 28 and included a photo of the man posing with Josh Duggar in a parking lot.

“To funny! Buying a new car, I spent an hour and a half with this guy,” the post read. “Test driving, talking religion and politics…real nice guy. Invited me to his church tomorrow. Could meet his family. Finally realized I was with Josh Duggar from 19 kids and counting!!!Living a few towns away I knew I would run into one eventually. Maybe tomorrow I’ll meet Jim Bob!”

As Pickles and Hairspray point out, the customer purchased a used car from Josh Duggar in Siloam Springs, a small town of around 16,000 that is an 18-mile drive from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s family compound in Tontitown. According to Radar Online, Josh purchased a home in Siloam Springs last January. He was still working with the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. at the time, and the news of his two big sex scandals hadn’t broken yet.

It’s possible that Josh Duggar bought the home with the intention of using it as a temporary place to stay whenever his family of six returned to Arkansas to visit his parents and siblings. If this was the case, Josh Duggar had to change his plans for the residence last May after In Touch Weekly discovered that he had sexually molested four of his sisters and another girl. As E! News reports, this revelation resulted in Josh’s resignation from his position with the Family Research Council. Last June, moving trucks were photographed at Josh and Anna Duggar’s Oxon Hill, Maryland home. The couple either moved into the Siloam Springs home or lived with Josh’s parents while they finished renovating the house.

Josh Duggar’s family had to pack their bags yet again two months later when he confessed to cheating on his wife and being addicted to internet pornography. Josh spent six months away from his family at a Christian treatment center, and Anna and their four kids moved in with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar while he was away. As reported by the Inquisitr, Anna spent her time at her in-laws’ house cleaning their bathrooms, doing their laundry, babysitting their kids, and washing their dishes.

According to People, Josh Duggar got back into the used car business soon after he returned home from rehab. This career is a big step backward for the former reality show star, who owned a used car lot before he got his cushy political gig with the Family Research Council. Josh Duggar sold the lot in 2013 before he and his family moved to Maryland, according to the Duggar Family Blog. Now he’s using Craigslist to sell used cars.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Josh Duggar became somewhat problematic for TLC when he was hired by the Family Research Council. The work that he did for the conservative Christian lobbying organization included fighting gay rights and abortion, but the nature of his work was never revealed on the Duggar family’s former reality series, 19 Kids and Counting. Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation scandal led to the cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting, and so far Josh has not appeared on the Duggars’ new TLC series, Counting On.

Now that Josh Duggar can no longer use his reality show stardom to shape the political landscape in a big way, it looks like he’s trying to influence minds one used car sale at a time.
