Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid met at a Victoria Secret party almost one year ago. Zayn crossed the crowded room and asked her out. Malik says he recognized Gigi from a photo he’d seen, but he must have been absolutely thunderstruck to actually meet this woman who has come to mean so much to him.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid had their first date in the restaurant of the Bowery Hotel. It’s a nice place called Gemma in New York City according to Glamour. Since then, the two have been nearly inseparable.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are crazy in love with each other. They spend as much time together as possible. Zayn loves to cook for Gigi, mostly traditional British cooking including Yorkshire Pudding which it turns out Gigi just loves according to Teen Vogue. Glamor quotes Zayn listing some of his other favorite things to cook for Gigi.

They love doing all sorts of hobbies together but mostly they like to just chill. They eat popcorn and watch movies. They are both super creative and talented so art projects are a major source of quiet and restful entertainment as well.

Gigi Hadid is quoted in People explaining her favorite pastimes and things she and Zayn like doing together.

“Cook. Paint. Play with my dog. Hang out with my boyfriend. Watch movies. Just chill.”

Zayn Malik says Gigi Hadid isn’t just his lover, they are best friends.

“Yeah, we’re good friends.”

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid know that friendship is a vital element in any lasting relationship. Romance can only take a couple so far. Eventually, love has to include things like trust, honesty, mutual respect and perhaps above all friendship.
