Christian Dillard: Maryland Man Stabs Own Children After Sexually Assaulting Ex Girlfriend
Officers from the Prince George’s County Police Department have arrested a man for sexually assaulting a woman and subsequently stabbing his two young children at their home. According to a WTOP News report, the man later identified as 25-year-old Christian Dillard committed both the heinous crimes within a span of a few hours, on Saturday.
According to reports, Dillard is a resident of District Heights. Following his arrest, he was charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault, and several other related charges. In a press release issued by Prince George’s Police Department, they revealed that officers found Dillard’s two young children with serious stab wounds to their torso and stomach at around 10 p.m., local time on Saturday. The children were reportedly two and three-years-old.

The press release issued by the police department described the incident as follows.
“Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a District Heights man for stabbing his two young children in the family’s home Saturday night. The suspect is 25-year-old Christian Dillard of the 1700 block of Dennis Court.”
According to the release, an unknown individual called them up to report the two stabbings that had occurred at Dillard’s home late Saturday night.
“Patrol officers were called to the home on Saturday night at about 10:00 pm for the report of the stabbings. The two children, both under the age of five, were rushed to the hospital for treatment. They remain hospitalized and are currently in stable condition. No other family members who were home at the time were hurt. The suspect was on the scene when our officers arrived and was taken for an emergency evaluation. He has since been released and is now in custody of the Department of Corrections.”
The statement went on to add that Dillard had on the same day, sexually assaulted a woman who lives in the same home. The victim was Dillard’s ex-girlfriend
.”An arrest warrant has been issued for Dillard in connection with stabbing his children. He’s charged with attempted first degree murder, assault and related charges. Dillard has also been charged with sexually assaulting a woman who lives in the family’s home earlier in the day. Dillard and the victim had a prior romantic relationship.”
After he committed both the crimes, Dillard fled the scene. After police officers arrived on the scene, they launched a manhunt to nab him. A local neighborhood search was unsuccessful. The investigation continued for the rest of the day. In the meantime, detectives also managed to get an arrest warrant against Dillard. By the end of the day, Dillard reportedly came back home following which officers arrested him. After arresting Dillard, officers noted that there were several wounds on his body as well. They, however, assume that all of those are self-inflicted wounds.
Meanwhile, both the kids were quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both the kids were reported to be in a critical condition initially. However, subsequent reports revealed that both of them were out of danger and are expected to survive. According to Dave Coleman with the Prince George’s County Police Department, both the children had injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Dillard was also taken to a local medical facility for treatment and a medical examination. After this, he was placed in the custody of the Office of Corrections on a no-bond status. He was also subsequently also charged with sexual assault of a woman.
Since the incident involves young children, Child Protective Services have been informed. They, however, confirmed that there were no reports or complaints against the residence and its inhabitants in the past.
