Quality, not quantity is the the emphasis for the new video games released during the week of October 22 to October 28, 2012. While the week is not marked by the flood of new titles gamers have been treated to in weeks past, there are a couple of big name titles making their debut this week, along with an exciting new hunting game from a renowned sporting outfitter.

Debuting among the big name titles is Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The game caused a bit of controversy when it was announced Medal of Honor: Warfighter would offer future downloadable content featuring the hunt for Bin Ladin. Needless to say the timing could not have been worse, considering the tragic events at the United States Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The DLC  is being released as a tie in between the game’s publisher, Electronic Arts, and the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster, Zero Dark Thirty.

Big game hunters everywhere will enjoy the new game from one of the world’s premier hunting outfitters, Cabela, titled Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions. Hunting games are a bit of a rarity and don’t generally fall into a category of their own. As a result, Cabela’s new offering is included in the Other Sports Games category

Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions should provide hunters with a great way to pass the time, and sharpen up their aim, while they wait for the hunting season to open. When winter storms are raging, and common sense tells us to stay inside, we can just pop Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions in the PC, or our favorite console, and enjoy a simulated hunt from the comfort of home.
