Megyn Kelly Dishes Dirt About Donald Trump And Roger Ailes On ‘Dr. Phil’ Tuesday

Megyn Kelly does her first big interview this week on The Dr. Phil Show to support her book Settle For More. On the show, Megyn Kelly is revealing never before interactions with Donald Trump and Fox New chief Roger Ailes. One of the juicier tidbits, Kelly says that Trump tried to bribe her and other journalists.

This season, Dr. Phil McGraw is scoring some big and exclusive interviews, including the father of the cannibal murderer, Austin Harrouff, and Burke Ramsey, the older brother of murdered beauty queen, JonBenet Ramsey, says the Inquisitr. As a psychologist, Dr. Phil provides a certain angle that many journalists don’t have, due to his clinical experience with mental health conditions. In the Harrouff case, Dr. Phil also scored an interview with the accused murderer, but that show was pulled at least temporarily from the television schedule.

Megyn Kelly’s new memoir Settle For More shares her personal interactions with the powerful, including Donald Trump and Roger Ailes, says CNN Money. Megyn Kelly has highlighted behavior from Trump towards her as abusive, tinged with name-calling. There has been a suggestion that someone gave Donald Trump the head’s up about her pointed question about misogyny.

“You’ve called women you don’t like, ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ slobs, and disgusting animals.”

Right after the debate, Donald Trump took to Twitter to slam Kelly.

“Wow, @megynkelly really bombed tonight. People are going wild on twitter! Funny to watch.”

Megyn Kelly says that each time Trump felt cornered, he had a visceral reaction.

“Every time Trump acted up, it was like he flipped a switch, instantly causing a flood of intense nastiness.”

Megyn Kelly says from then on, Trump called her a number of names, including “sick, overrated, and a bimbo.”

But then, Kelly says that Donald Trump tried taking another tack offering bribes for favorable coverage.

“This is actually one of the untold stories of the 2016 campaign. I was not the only journalist to whom Trump offered gifts clearly meant to shape coverage. Many reporters have told me that Trump worked hard to offer them something fabulous — from hotel rooms to rides on his 757.”

Kelly will also be talking about Roger Ailes, the former Chief Executive of Fox News, and his behavior with female anchors on the network, says New York Times.Megyn Kelly played a role in the ouster of Ailes from Fox. Kelly explained that it all started with Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit against Fox. After Fox decided that at the direction of Roger Ailes, the internal review would be very narrow, Megyn Kelly decided that she could no longer be quiet.

“The choice became clear: honor my ethical code, or abide by my loyalty to Roger. There was no way to do both.”

Megyn Kelly then came forward with her experience of sexual harassment at the hands, literally of Roger Ailes, Kelly claims she was repeatedly propositioned by Ailes years earlier. He complimented her, and told her he guessed she had some sexy bras. He tried to kiss her, and when she rebuffed this move, he subtly threatened her job.

“When is your contract up?”

Kelly said at that point, she decided to tell all to Lachlan Murdoch and the Fox general counsel.

“In the end, however, I concluded that if Roger were taken down by an honest review of his conduct, it would be his responsibility, not mine.”

This and much more will be revealed to Dr. Phil on Tuesday. The bulk of Megyn Kelly’s new book has only been revealed to a handful of people, but reportedly, all is fair game on Tuesday.
