Meghan Markle Controversy: Nude Scene From ‘Suits’ Causes A Stir For Prince Harry’s New Girlfriend

Meghan Markle could be headed for a royal controversy, with a nude video of the actress from the television show Suits re-emerging just as Markle kicks off a public romance with Prince Harry.

The actress has been under an intense media spotlight ever since it was confirmed last week that she and Prince Harry are officially dating. There have been reports digging into her personal life, including one published this weekend in the Mirror digging up a nude scene that Meghan Markle had done in the show Suits.

“Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle is certainly going to be raising eyebrows within the royal family, as footage of her stripping off for a sex scene has emerged.”

“The scene from season three of her American TV show Suits shows Meghan in bed with her co-star Patrick J Adams as he runs his hands up her body.”

“Her character, Rachel Zane, smiles as her fiancé Mike Ross tries to tell a complex story using his fingers as the people in it – but he gets his hand slapped away by Rachel.”

It is unclear if the controversy will catch on beyond the Mirror‘s initial report, and it could just be a case of a British tabloid trying to manufacture a scandal related to the newest power couple in the U.K. For one, Markle’s acting background is already known and the scene came from a very popular show, so it’s not as if the Mirror uncovered some unknown scandal.

The reports of Meghan Markle’s nude scene comes at some strange timing. Just a few days ago, Kensington Palace took the unusual step of issuing a public statement calling on people to stop harassing Markle on the internet and social media.

“The past week has seen a line crossed,” the statement said via the Mirror.

“[Harry’s] girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public – the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.”

“Prince Harry is worried about Ms Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms Markle should be subject to such a storm… This is not a game – it is her life and his.”

Being thrust into the spotlight is quite a change for Meghan Markle. Though she has been a well-known actress, the 35-year-old said she has enjoyed relative quiet while living and working in Toronto.

“It’s really funny because I think as much of a big city as Toronto is, it’s so different from L.A. or New York,” she told Hello! magazine.

“There is no paparazzi so it’s really easy to just have a normal life where you are not getting dressed for the day and worried about that element of it.”

Markle, who has been spotted in London and sparked rumors that she may be moving closer to Prince Harry, said her life in Toronto has been free from paparazzi and constant media attention.

“If I just want to walk my dogs, I throw on a baseball cap and I’ll do that,” she said.

“Then at the end of the day I can go ‘great, now is my time to get dressed for myself and do it not because you know you are going to be photographed and someone is going to see you but because it’s the sake of taking some fashion risks.'”

But Meghan Markle has a big dose of the spotlight now, as the scandal about her nude scene from Suits has shown.
