Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie’s Kids Are Suffering Amid Divorce, Custody Battle: She’s ‘Struggling To Keep Them Happy’

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s children unhappy living with their mother in Malibu, California?

According to a new report, the 41-year-old actress, who filed for divorce from Pitt on September 19, is said to be struggling to keep her kids happy as she and Pitt embark on a messy custody battle over Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Vivienne and Knox, 8.

“Angelina Jolie has been struggling with keeping the kids happy,” an insider told Hollywood Life on November 12.

“It’s been weeks since the kids moved out of their home and they are getting homesick. The children are sad, miss the huge house they grew up in, and have been complaining to Angelina that they want to go home. The older children are not happy with the situation while the younger kids are having trouble understanding why they can’t just go home.”

When Brad Pitt’s wife chose to end their two-year marriage, she immediately relocated from their Los Feliz home to a home by the beach in Malibu with their kids. Since then, Pitt has been living by himself in Los Feliz while his family remains in Malibu.

According to the Hollywood Life report, Brad Pitt’s kids are “homesick” for their former family home in Los Feliz.

“The Los Feliz home has been where the kids have spent most of their time growing up,” the insider continued.

“[Brad Pitt] has built a huge skate ramp for the kids on the property and they all have their own rooms there too. They may have lots of houses but the Los Feliz house has always been home.”

Brad Pitt and his wife had numerous homes during their marriage in places, including New Orleans, France, and California.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie began their romance on the set of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith when Pitt was still married to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. Then, weeks after Aniston’s divorce filing, the couple was spotted out in Kenya with Maddox, whom Pitt has since adopted has his own. In the years that followed, Brad Pitt and his now-estranged wife adopted two children, Pax and Zahara, and welcomed three biological children, Shiloh, who was born in 2006, and the twins, Vivienne and Knox, who were born in 2008.

Since news of their split was announced in September, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been keeping a low profile and their kids have rarely been seen publicly. Meanwhile, multiple reports have claimed that the kids aren’t doing well, especially the couple’s oldest child, Maddox, who was allegedly involved in an altercation with Pitt in September that may have ended the couple’s marriage.

“The divorce has been difficult for all the children but Maddox is having a particularly rough time with his father [Brad Pitt],” a source told Hollywood Life.

“Maddox is angry and having a hard time understanding everything that is happening and why.”

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt has reportedly been struggling himself as he continues to spend a limited amount of time with his kids — all while under the supervision of a monitor.

“[Brad Pitt] is frustrated that he can not be present more to help Maddox deal with his emotions, feelings and anger,” the source said. In fact, “The whole situation is difficult for the entire family.”

Brad Pitt remained unseen for weeks after Jolie’s filing, in which she requested sole physical custody of their kids, but earlier this week, he made his red carpet return for the premiere of Allied in Westwood.
