Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are getting married? That’s what a new rumor suggests.

Although Selena Gomez is currently seeking treatment for symptoms of Lupus at a rehab facility outside of Nashville, Tennessee, a report shared on Thursday claims the 24-year-old singer is back in touch with Bieber and ready to take their relationship to the next level.

According to a report by In Touch Weekly, Selena Gomez received a call from Bieber while she was in rehab, which completely took her by surprise. In the weeks that followed, they have remained in touch and have been talking all the time about their romance.

While Selena Gomez is said to be ready to walk down the aisle with Bieber, the magazine also pointed out that the singer did not have her family’s blessing for the nuptials. However, that said, Selena Gomez was allegedly still planning to get married to Bieber and would do so in private to show her family that their approval was not necessary.

Selena Gomez went through hardships months ago after Bieber shared a photo of his rumored girlfriend, Sofia Richie, on Instagram. So, plans of a wedding sound a bit hasty. In addition, Gomez’s grandfather recently claimed she didn’t want to be with Bieber during an interview with Fabulous magazine, via The Sun.

“[Selena Gomez] loves him but told us she doesn’t want to be with him because of his recent behavior,” Ricardo Gomez explained. “We’ve known Justin since he started in the industry and he was such a bright young man, but we worry for him. His family thinks Selena is a good influence on him.”

In other Selena Gomez news, the singer is reportedly planning to attend the 2016 American Music Awards later this year after she leaves rehab and make her musical comeback.

“[Selena Gomez] wants her first appearance back in front of her fans to be special and so if she does decide to do the appearance at the [2016 American Music Awards], she will want to do it big with perhaps a dazzling performance or a major announcement,” an insider explained to Hollywood Life.

Selena Gomez announced she would be taking time off from her busy Revival World Tour in August after experiencing anxiety, depression and panic attacks. Since then, she has kept a low profile in Tennessee and has only been spotted in the area a few times.

As for a possible run-in with her alleged fiancé, the report claimed Selena Gomez wouldn’t be faced with any such thing. After all, Bieber’s Purpose World Tour has him in Europe for the next few weeks.

“Selena Gomez is relieved that Justin has tour dates on the night of the [2016 American Music Awards]… With Justin unlikely to make an appearance at the show there is less stress surrounding the event for Selena,” the source continued. “Even though Selena will always love Justin, it does make things easier for her knowing her ex-boyfriend will likely not be there.”

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been through many ups and downs in recent years but after their Instagram fight in August, fans wondered if they would ever be on good terms again.

During their fight, Selena Gomez was accused of using Bieber for attention and cheating on him with former One Direction singer Zayn Malik. Meanwhile, Selena Gomez told fans it was actually Bieber who cheated on her multiple times during their relationship before she offered him her forgiveness.
