WWE Rumors: Vince McMahon Blames Sasha Banks For Hell In A Cell Ending

WWE fans that watched the main event of Hell in a Cell noticed something off about the final sequence of action between Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. Vince McMahon certainly noticed it from backstage, and he is blaming Sasha, as reported by WrestlingNews.

The finish of the match was initially scripted to have Sasha Banks going through the table before taking the Natural Selection finishing move from Charlotte. After two attempts at breaking the table, the girls decided to just go with the finishing move, which felt a bit awkward and forced. A brutal match ending with just a simple move is usually not the plan.

Most of the people backstage in WWE understood why the table did not break. Sasha Banks simply does not weigh nearly as much as the male performers in the company. There have been instances where the table does not break for the guys, so it is totally understandable that the divas might not always be able to crash through the table.

Vince McMahon is a bit different than most people backstage. The CEO of WWE demands perfection, especially from the final segment of all of his shows. That is the reason why he is constantly tinkering with the script, sometimes even right before the segment happens.

With the divas not having the perfect ending at Hell in a Cell, this may cause some issues for the divas in the future. WWE fans have been begging for them to have a bigger role within the promotion. Vince McMahon is not nearly as sold on the idea.

Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks were the first two female performers in WWE that worked the final match of a pay per view. That is history in the making. However, the company did not promote such a big deal weeks before it happened. The reason for that was because McMahon reportedly was against the idea. He wanted Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens to finish off the show, believing that they would be more reliable than Charlotte and Sasha.

Fortunately for WWE, people backstage were able to convince Vince McMahon right before the event to give the divas a chance. One of those that championed hard for Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks was Triple H, the man who many believe is better suited to lead World Wrestling Entertainment into the future. HHH is said to be more open-minded to changes.

Though Triple H has seen his voice growing increasingly over the past couple of years, it might still take him a while before he can persuade Vince McMahon to give the divas another chance in the big spotlight. Someone in the WWE creative department would need to come up with a highly successful story line to entice McMahon. The audience would also need to be highly captivated by that angle so that McMahon can see that there is some excitement behind it.

There might be a glimmer of hope for fans of the WWE Divas. Management is said to be building towards a story line where Charlotte Flair goes on a tremendous winning streak at the pay-per-view events. It is supposed to culminate with a big moment at WrestleMania next year for the challenger. If Sasha Banks is not in the doghouse still, she could be a candidate for that big moment. Bayley is another choice because her push is about to get started.

Things do not always work out on the first try. While fans enjoyed the match that Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks produced, the guy in charge of WWE has not been sold yet.
