Kirsten Fritch: Body Of Missing Texas Teen Found Days After Her Mother, Sister Were Killed

Just one day after the Inquisitr reported about the case of Kirsten Fritch, the missing 16-year-old Texas girl, police officials from the Baytown Police Department in Texas have recovered a body which they believe belongs to Kirsten. An Amber Alert was issued for Kirsten yesterday following the discovery of the bodies of her mother, 37-year-old Cynthia Morris, and sister, 13-year-old Breanna Pavlicek, in the family home located in Baytown. Kirsten was listed as missing until her body was found a few hours ago.

According to Dallas News, Kirsten’s body was found Thursday afternoon in a wooded area behind a Texas City bar — not far from where the prime suspect in the case, Kirsten’s boyfriend Jesse Dobbs, was arrested on Monday. The report about the discovery of Kirsten’s body was confirmed by Baytown police Lt. Steve Dorris. He went on to add that the body was discovered by members of Texas EquuSearch.

The bodies of Kirsten’s mother and sister were discovered at around 10:30 a.m. Monday in the 5400 block of Louisa. Both of them had several gunshot wounds, according to officials from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. While Morris had sustained gunshot wounds in her torso and neck, Pavlicek had gunshot wounds in her head, neck, and right shoulder. Both the deaths were ruled homicides, and an investigation was launched. After the commencement of the investigation, officials realized that Kirsten was missing as well, and an Amber Alert was issued soon after. This was followed by a large scale search operation to find Kirsten. In the Amber Alert message, Fritch was described as a 16-year-old teen standing 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 135 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair.

Meanwhile, investigating officers also discovered that the family’s white Chrysler PT Cruiser was missing from their home when the bodies were discovered, prompting them to look for the missing vehicle as well. Later on Monday, officials found the car to be in the possession of Fritch’s 21-year-old boyfriend Jesse Dobbs, who was arrested from Texas City. While Dobbs was taken in for questioning, Kirsten still remained missing.

According to Tim Miller, the founder and director of Texas EquuSearch, several volunteers from their team launched a massive search operation along Texas 146 between Texas City and Bacliff in order to find Kirsten — only to discover her body one day later. According to Baytown police Lt. Steve Dorris, Fritch’s body was found a little over half an hour after a team of volunteers headed out with ATVs to look for Kirsten. He added that her body had likely been lying at the location for over 24 hours. Kirsten’s body was discovered just outside the area where they had searched a day ago. Surveillance footage obtained from the bar reportedly showed Dobbs entering the premises, wet and shoe-less.

Officials are yet to reveal Kirsten’s cause of death and whether there were any gunshot wounds on her body as well. However, officers did reveal that they would be looking for a gun. Meanwhile, initial indications are that Dobbs is not co-operating with officials with the investigation. Officials are currently building a strong case against Dobbs, who is likely to be charged with murder. The police and the Galveston County district attorney is also likely to weigh evidence when considering whether to pursue capital murder charges. Police officials have in the meantime thanked EquuSearch for their volunteer work and described the entire incident tragic.

“It’s a tragic ending to something that we hoped would have a different (outcome),” Dorris said.

He confirmed that the relatives of the family of three have been notified.

“In the blink of an eye, you’re losing three family members.” he added.

No clear motive has been established so far.
