Miley Cyrus Twitter Video: ‘The Voice’ Coach Breaks Down In Tears After Donald Trump Is Elected President

Miley Cyrus’s Twitter video showed The Voice coach becoming very emotional after she learned Donald Trump had won the election.

Cyrus took to Twitter following the election Tuesday night to share a tearful video in which she spoke about love and acceptance. Miley had been very vocal about her support for everyone but Trump and said she still thinks Hillary Clinton deserves to be the first female president at some point during her lifetime. She praised Clinton for loving her country and trying to make it a better place.

“Given the result [of the election], maybe I really am different… but maybe a lot of people that I’m surrounded by think with open arms and open minds like I do,” she said through tears.

“I’ve been very vocal for my support for everyone besides Donald Trump — heavily supported Bernie, heavily supported Hillary, and I still think that, in her lifetime, she deserves to be the first female president, and that’s what makes me so sad. I wish she had an opportunity because she fought for so long and because I believe her when she says that she loves this country. This is all she’s ever done; she’s given her life to make it better.”

“Hopefully we adjust and we accept everyone for who they are, and, so, Donald Trump, I accept you,” she said.

“This hurts to say, but I even accept you as President of the United States, and that’s fine, because, now, I want to be a hopeful hippie. I want to be hopeful that you will step in, too.”

Before ending her Twitter video, Cyrus thanked President Barack Obama for all he has done during her presidency. She also asked Donald to treat people with love and compassion, and told him she could help him open his mind and heart.

“Treat people with love, treat people with compassion, and I will do the same for you,” Miley said.

“Anything you ever want to talk about or understand… if you want to open your mind and open your heart, I would love to give you the key.”

Miley concluded her Twitter video by saying, “Thank you, Hillary, for inspiring all of us.”

Miley Cyrus accepting Donald Trump was a very big move for her as she previously pledged that she would move from the United States if he was elected as president. In March, the former Hannah Montana star said, “Honestly f**k this sh*t I am moving if this is my president! I don’t say things I don’t mean!” However, it seems that she has now had a change of heart and is willing to give Trump a chance.

Miley Cyrus wasn’t the only celebrity who said they were fleeing the country if the election didn’t go how they wanted.
