LAPD Officers Suspended For Leaking Rihanna Beating Photo

Two Los Angeles police officers have been suspended on suspicion of leaking the now famous photo of a battered Rihanna after she was beaten by Chris Brown.

The picture, paid for and published by TMZ.com caused serious outrage in some circles on grounds including privacy and the rights of domestic violence victims.

Police have been investigating the leak of the photo since and have narrowed their investigation down to two female officers – oddly both located at different stations, suggesting that they may have acted independently, or perhaps both sold the photo.

Reports claim LAPD Internal Affairs has conducted searches on their homes, offices, and lockers and further action on the matter is pending.
