Adam Levine Pokes Fun At Blake Shelton After Welcoming A Baby Girl With Wife Behati Prinsloo

Adam Levine recently shared an odd post about punching a young Blake Shelton in the face, and right away, Shelton’s girlfriend came to The Voice star’s defense.

Along with a photo of Shelton on Twitter, Adam Levine shared his violent message, which was likely meant in a playful manner.

“I wanna punch young @blakeshelton’s face so hard,” Adam Levine wrote on November 6.

In response, Gwen Stefani sent a message back to Adam Levine, which read, “[You are] so dumb.”

Stefani and Shelton began dating since last fall and have been going strong ever since.

As fans of The Voice are aware, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have maintained a close friendship since they began starring on the first season of the NBC series years ago. In fact, Levine and Shelton have been spotted spending time with one another offset as well as on, and they enjoyed a double date with Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo, and Shelton’s girlfriend, Stefani, earlier this year.

As for Adam Levine’s tweet, it is hard to say what prompted the diss, but it may have something to do with the currently airing season of The Voice. After all, while Adam Levine and Blake Shelton may be friends, they are currently competing against one another on the show.

Less than two months ago, Adam Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, became parents for the first time. Following two years of on-and-off dating, the couple tied the knot in July of 2014 in Mexico, and in March of this year, Levine confirmed their baby news with a photo post on Instagram. In his sweet post, the Maroon 5 singer shared a picture of Prinsloo — who was wearing a bikini and a Los Angeles Lakers hat — and told fans she and his then-unborn baby were his two favorite Lakers fans.

Following his announcement, Adam Levine returned to filming on The Voice and to his band’s tour. Then, on September 21, as the 11th season of the series began airing, Prinsloo gave birth to their first child, daughter Dusty Rose Levine.

Last week, Adam Levine appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he revealed that DeGeneres actually picked out the name for his and Prinsloo’s child.

“So I’m going through it and I think I have a great name, and I texted Ellen, and I was like, ‘What do you think?’ and she’s like, ‘I hate it, I think it’s a terrible name,'” Adam Levine recalled, according to a report by People Magazine.

Luckily, their conversation didn’t end there, and DeGeneres ended up making several suggestions to Adam Levine for the name of his baby.

“She gave me like five names to think about, like, ‘This, this, this, this’ — Dusty was in there. So you basically named my kid,” Adam Levine told her.

However, wife Prinsloo wasn’t initially on board with the name.

“My wife she’s like, ‘Mmm, I don’t like it,'” Levine said. “And I’m like, ‘Okay, cool.’ Then I brought it back to her in the 11th hour and I’m like, ‘Dusty’s pretty cool…’ and she’s like, ‘I love it.'”

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram weeks ago but haven’t shared any new photos of the child recently.

To see more of Adam Levine and his co-stars, including Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, and Blake Shelton, tune into The Voice Season 11 on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC.
