WWE News: Chris Jericho And Sin Cara Get Into Another Backstage Altercation, Details On What Went Down

Sometimes tempers flare up backstage or during situations where people get together for too long, and that seemed to be the case for both Chris Jericho and Sin Cara, as both were involved in a fight overseas. Backstage fights are common in wrestling; in fact, there was probably one that happened at an independent event somewhere around where you might live.

In WWE, however, the fights are not quite as common because they can result in fines or suspensions. However, it truly depends on the situation, because the problems often get resolved once the fight has occurred. Often, people will break up a fight, but that one shot can oftentimes help the person to blow off some steam.

In the case of Chris Jericho and Sin Cara, things got heated pretty quickly for no real reason this weekend. According to the Wrestling Observer, the wrestlers were traveling on a bus from Leeds, England, to Glasgow, Scotland. Of course, WWE is touring in Europe this week with both rosters, which is why they’re together in the area right now. Apparently, the issue started with Sin Cara making annoying noises while on the bus. People were telling him to stop, but he refused to listen and kept going.

Chris Jericho being the veteran WWE Superstar of the group ended up going up to Sin Cara to tell him to stop. Cara stupidly replied “F*** off” to Jericho, which started an exchange between the two men. Eventually, Cara threw a wild hand at Jericho, and others came in to break things up. Chris would end up biting Cara’s finger during the altercation.

Sin Cara would eventually be kicked off the bus, while Chris Jericho would stay on. Jericho was not at fault for anything it seems as Cara was pretty much being a complete jerk to people and thought he could take a shot and get what he wanted. The problem is that the man he attempted to go after was a major veteran in WWE. This could easily result in a backstage issue for Sin Cara going forward, if not a fine or suspension.

This is also not the first time either man has been involved in altercations. Cara was just involved in one with Simon Gotch this summer, and Jericho got in the face of Brock Lesnar (crazy, of course) at WWE SummerSlam after the match with Randy Orton. Jericho and Lesnar were broken up quickly before anything went down, whereas Cara’s altercation with Gotch ended when he took Simon down. This is combined with other backstage altercations over the years.

All of this being said, it is not good to see either man involved in any sort of real fight backstage. It can result in injuries to the two, and that can cause various problems for creative and major events. Jericho alone is one of the top acts on WWE RAW, and losing him could be drastic to the WWE at this point. This is mainly due to how over he is since his new gimmick has really taken off.

Luckily for both men, no major injuries went down, and both did end up working all weekend events. Obviously, Sin Cara managed to get a ride to Glasgow, which is good for him. Chris Jericho is the top vet here, so going forward, he probably won’t face a ton of heat with the locker room or management. However, Cara is by no means at the level of Jericho, and if he continues with his backstage issues, WWE may end up being releasing him before too long.
