Maxim model Juliana Redding was murdered in 2008, and prosecutors say the case may not be what it seems on its face.

Juliana Redding was just 21 when she was strangled to death in her own apartment, and forensic evidence found in the case places 46-year-old Kelly Soo Park at the scene of the killing. In Redding’s apartment, on her stove and cell phone, as well as on her neck, where fatal injuries were sustained, evidence was uncovered.

Park is said to have been an “enforcer,” however, for Lebanese doctor and businessman Munir Uwaydah, a man who is said to have been mentioned by prosecutors as a key figure in Juliana Redding’s murder.

In late September, a court motion filed in the case stated that Park “has committed other distinctive acts of misconduct against similar victims under similar circumstances which exhibit common features of threats, intimidation and bullying for the purpose of assisting Dr. Uwaydah’s business interests.”

In a statement to ABC News on the Juliana Redding murder case and other allegations against Park, attorney for the defendant, George W. Buehler, denies the allegations made by prosecutors:

“The DA’s description of the two incidents is factually inaccurate. Moreover, the two incidents are not similar in any significant way to anything that happened in the case before the court, and we will oppose the DA’s motion to admit evidence of the incidents at the trial.”

Latest developments in the Juliana Redding murder trial indicate that as of now, prosecutors do not seek to pursue murder charges against Uwaydah but contend that Park sought to threaten, harass, or intimidate Redding at the direction of the man.
