‘Pokemon GO’ Update Features New Daily Bonuses, India Release Date Still Unknown?

The latest Pokemon GO update features new daily bonuses for players of the popular mobile game. These bonuses are said to be awarded every day with extra bonuses also given out for playing the game seven days in a row. For gamers in India though, the Pokemon GO release date is still in the dark, leaving mobile game users wondering if they’ll get the popular game anytime soon.

As Heavy reported on Sunday, the daily bonuses are given out for two different aspects of the game. One bonus is given for catching Pokemon. Each day, the first time a player catches a Pokemon they’ll receive 500 XP as a bonus reward. In addition, 600 stardust will be awarded to players for catching the Pokemon. After playing the game for seven consecutive days, players will receive 2,000 XP and 2,800 stardust.

There are also daily bonuses given out for spinning Pokestops. Players will receive 500 XP after spinning their first Pokestop of the day. There will also be some extra items given out for each Pokestop spin, but these have yet to become fully learned about in the game as of this report. However, after seven consecutive days of playing the game, players will receive 2,000 XP and even more “additional items” awarded to them.

In order to get these new daily bonus updates for the game, players will need to check the Android or iOS app store for the latest Pokemon GO update. The latest version is 0.45.0 for Android mobile devices or 1.15.0 for iOS devices. Some gamers may notice they automatically received the update as they’ll find out when playing the game if bonuses are awarded. The update was said to have been released earlier on Sunday, but could be delayed for some regions, so be patient if it’s not there right away.

The new bonuses seem like a great incentive for players who have access to the Pokemon GO mobile game. That includes the United States, Europe, and Japan, among other regions. With that said, one country that is among those still waiting is India. They’ve yet to receive the game, let alone a release date.

The IBTimes reported that Niantic has yet to release Pokemon GO to India, China, and South Korea, which are major gaming regions. It was noted that South Korea has limitations when it comes to the allowance of “uncensored map data from overseas.” That could mean a delay for South Koreans who are hoping to get the game soon. Keep in mind Pokemon GO works by using real-time geospacing technology and Google map data, so the game would be pretty much useless without that built-in aspect.

As for India, there was an interesting bit of litigation filed attempting to ban the game. The Public Interest Litigation that was filed at Gujarat high court said the game could “hurt religious sentiments of certain communities.” So far, it doesn’t appear this litigation will hinder the game’s release to India, but stay tuned as stranger things have happened.

The Pokemon GO game currently works on iOS and Android mobile devices as well as the Apple Watch. It was first made available to Australia and North American gamers as of July 6 of this year. A week later, Europe was able to download and use the Pokemon GO app, and then a bit over a week after that, Japan finally got the mobile game.

For now, players waiting for the app in those other countries just have to be extra patient as their friends from overseas enjoy the newest features and update releases for the Pokemon GO game.
