‘One Piece’ Manga Chapter 845: Sanji And Pudding Decide To Get Married While Luffy And Nami Battle Big Mom’s Weather Wrath And Germa 66 Soldiers? [Spoilers]

One Piece Chapter 844 shocked the popular manga’s fans with Sanji’s brutal treatment and behavior towards his Straw Hats comrade, Luffy D. Monkey. Chapter 845 deals with the emotional response Luffy has about the events that would have ended any other friendship.

Sanji left a badly bruised and bleeding Luffy, and continued with his brethren, sister and father in the large Germa 66 procession that was headed towards the Whole Cake Chateau for a pre-wedding ceremony. However, instead of retaliating or defending himself, Luffy stood his ground and proclaimed he won’t budge from the spot and won’t eat anything, unless Sanji returns and feeds him a morsel of food that the latter had prepared with his own hands.

Even after the procession is long gone, Luffy is still lying on the ground, a missing tooth clearly visible. Nami tries to reason with Luffy noting that they are quite exposed, and are in the “middle of enemy grounds.” She warns Luffy about Pound’s cautionary words regarding Big Mom and her vengeful nature if anyone attacked her commanders. In the previous chapters, Pound had revealed how Charlotte Linlin loses control of her temper and she not only dispatches her “enraged army” but using her power to summon stormy weather, destroys her enemies.

Even while Nami is trying to talk some sense into Luffy, large storm clouds suddenly roll over and strong winds are accompanied by lightning. King Baum explains to Nami that the menacing clouds have come from the hill where Big Mom resides. In the previous chapters, Commander Cracker’s entry had alerted Charlotte Linlin about the presence of a powerful enemy, and she had sounded a “Red Alert.” It is possible the storm is a result of the anger that had been building inside Big Mom.

Watching the dark clouds, petrified residents of the Whole Cake Island realize that Big Mom had summoned Lord Zeus and Lord Prometheus to brew a powerful storm and note that the Yonkou is in “full blown rage.” Meanwhile, the Germa 66 soldiers, accompanied by the “enraged army,” are out to “avenge Lord Cracker.” In the previous chapter, Sanji’s evil brothers had heard Luffy saying he won’t move from the spot, and they might have informed the soldiers exactly where they could find the one who subdued Commander Cracker.

The Whole Cake Island is brimming with a lot of pirates and leaders of some powerful clans. However, Luffy still refuses to move. Despite being hunted down by a large army, and being lashed with an intense storm, Luffy silences Nami and reiterates his intentions. In between the intense manhunt for Luffy, mangaka Eiichiro Oda takes fans back to Lady Pudding’s childhood. Just like her siblings, Pudding is a spoiled brat.

After the Vinsmoke clan reaches the chateau, Big Mom welcomes them. She sits them around a large dining table. As reported by the Inquisitr earlier, the only reason Big Mom is marrying her daughter to Judge Vinsmoke’s son, is to strengthen the alliance between the two clans. Judge Vinsmoke completely agrees with Big Mom, while the animated foods attempt to grab attention.

Using the commotion, Lady Pudding manages to catch Sanji’s attention. It is apparent she realizes something is bothering the Black Leg, and slides across a small note asking him to meet her later for a private talk.

Meanwhile, Luffy and Nami are completely drenched, but the former refuses to leave the spot. Nami tries to explain that hiding from the approaching army isn’t exactly leaving, but Luffy remains adamant. He feels Sanji will return, and if he doesn’t the Straw Hats captain at the very spot, Black Leg will believe he left. In the distance the marching of the army gets louder. Despite hearing the rumbling of the footsteps, Luffy remains resolute.

The scene then shifts to Lady Pudding’s private chambers, where a dejected Sanji is sitting. Pudding apologizes to Sanji for breaking her promise that she had made with Luffy and the Straw Hats gang. She blames herself for the current predicament all the Straw Hats members are currently in. She urges Sanji to escape, and notes that if he stays for the ceremony, he won’t be able to leave under any circumstances. Pudding notes that Big Mom regularly imprisons people she thinks might escape, with “ominous wristlets.”

What Pudding doesn’t know is that Sanji has already been fitted with the bracelets, which he reveals by sliding his cuffs, causing her to reel back in horror. Sanji adds that the only way to remove the bracelets is to steal the keys from Big Mom. However, to do so, they will have to confront Big Mom and her entire evil crew. Attempting to explain everything to Lady Pudding, Sanji proceeds to remove the mask that had been covering his swollen face and facial injuries that he received at the hands of his brothers.

Sanji notes that the Vinsmoke clan treats him as a lowlife because feelings like “empathy and compassion” are considered weakness. He adds that there has always been pain and sorrow during his childhood years. The painful experiences that lasted for 13 years, forced him to escape, in search of a place he wasn’t even sure existed. Sanji continues to reveal the real reasons he meekly agreed to get married. At risk is Zeff, the man Sanji considers to be his savior, and the Straw Hats gang.

Hearing the tale of horror, Pudding breaks down and doesn’t stop sobbing. Meanwhile Sanji continues to reminisce about how wonderful were his years with the Straw Hats gang. A seemingly defeated Sanji adds that he is giving up hope as all great adventures must come to an end.

But Pudding interrupts him and proclaims that she won’t let their marriage turn into the kind of hell Sanji had experienced. Realizing she might have been too presumptuous about their marriage, and noting that Sanji is obviously against the nuptials, Pudding apologizes. But Sanji surprises lady Pudding by drawing her closer to him. Amidst a passion-filled embrace, Pudding promises Sanji that she will be his savior.

Meanwhile, Luffy is about to take on the combined forces of Big Mom’s enraged army and Germa 66 soldiers. It is not clear how the Straw Hats captain and Nami will be able to protect themselves, let alone defeat such a huge army.
