Hillary Clinton Email Scandal Update: Maid Of Former Secretary Of State Was Granted Access To Classified Materials And SCIF Room

Will Hillary Clinton’s email scandal be looked back on as the reason she was unable to become the first woman to become president of the United States? Every since the FBI announced that they would be reopening the investigation into Clinton’s email use, new information has been coming out that could eventually lead to an indictment of the former Secretary of State.

In an update to Clinton’s email scandal, the New York Post is reporting that Hillary Clinton’s maid in her Whitehaven residence in Washington D.C., Marina Santos, was given access to classified email documents.

According to the New York Post, emails and memorandums from the FBI state that Hillary Clinton would ask her maid, Marina Santos, to print out documents and emails from Clinton’s Whitehaven home. According to the report, some of these documents were classified and Santos did not have a security clearance that would have allowed her to have access to these documents.

The report goes on to say that, while Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton would direct members of the State Department to forward documents to the Whitehaven residence so that Marina Santos would be able to print these documents out for Clinton. An email from 2012, marked classified, quotes one of Clinton’s aides, Monica Hanley, as she communicated with Clinton. In the email, Hanley states, “We can ask Marina to print this.” Another email communication from Hanley to Clinton, dealing with Iran, has Hanley saying, “Marina is trying to print for you.”

The New York Post is also reporting that is was not just the printing of classified emails from the State Department that Marina Santos had access to. It is being reported that Santos was also granted access to the SCIF room that was set up in Clinton’s Whitehaven residence.

SCIF stands for sensitive compartmented information facility. This type of room is specifically designed to hold some of the most top secret information that the United States has. The FBI discovered that Marina Santos was given access to Clinton’s SCIF room after speaking with her top aide, Huma Abedin.

According to notes taken by the FBI on this specific topic, Santos “collected documents from the secure facsimile machine for Clinton.” In order to give an idea as to what type of information that Santos would have had access to by printing out classified documents for Hillary Clinton, Clinton would often be faxed the Presidential Daily Brief. This document requires a person to have a top secret security clearance.

During the previous investigation into Clinton’s private email server by the FBI, the machines that Marina Santos had access to in Whitehaven were never asked for. The New York Post is also stating that Santos was never questioned by the FBI.

The United States is less than three days away from electing the next president of the United States. Will the reopening of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal cost her the election against Donald Trump?
