‘Iron Man 3,’ ‘Thor 2’ Plots Finally Revealed

Iron Man 3 and Thor 2, otherwise known as Thor: The Dark World, are both headed to theaters next year. These particular secrets have been out of the proverbial bag for quite some time now. Outside of a few vague plot details sprinkled here and there, most people have no idea what to expect from the upcoming motion pictures.

According to Screen Rant, Marvel and Disney Studios have finally gotten around to releasing plot summaries for both Iron Man 3 and Thor 2. Considering both movies are just around the corner, it’s nice that we now have an idea of what to expect from these films, narratively speaking.

The Iron Man 3 synopsis has been described as follows:

“Marvel Studios’ ‘Iron Man 3’ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?”

If you fancy yourself to be more of a Thor fan than a Tony Stark fanatic, chances are the following synopsis will be more to your liking:

“Marvel’s ‘Thor: The Dark World’ continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s ‘Thor’ and Marvel’s ‘The Avengers,’ Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos …but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. At present, director and co-writer Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 is slated to arrive in theaters on May 3, 2013. Thor: The Dark World, meanwhile, will hit theaters a little later; the film is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 8, 2013.
