Miley Cyrus: Nick Jonas Song Is Obviously About Me
She’s so vain. Miley Cyrus probably thinks that Nick Jonas’ new song “Wedding Bells” is about her.
In fact, the country singer said that it was “pretty blatant.”
“I don’t know who else is getting married …. So I feel like that’s pretty blatant, it’s whatever.”
Cyrus, who previously dated Nick Jonas, is currently engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth. The singer said that she didn’t blame Jonas for writing a song about her.
Cyrus said:
“You can’t ever hate on someone for writing about something you’ve been through. I think that you kind of get a fair warning when you date an artist and someone that’s a writer. When you’re going through things that you’re going to end up hearing about it on the radio. I don’t know …. wedding bells are in my future, so I don’t know.”
Jonas hasn’t revealed the identity of his inspiration for the song “Wedding Bells,” but several fans have speculated that the song is about Miley Cyrus. In the song, Jonas sings:
“Can you keep a secret/ A ceremony’s set for June/ I know it’s a rush, but I just love him so much/ I hope that you can meet him soon / I don’t want to love, if it’s not you/ I don’t want to hear the wedding bells bloom/ Maybe we can try one last time/ But I don’t want to hear the wedding bells chime.”
