Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth’s Wedding Is On Hold Due To Prenup Battle?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth became re-engaged several months ago and as fans wait for information regarding their impending wedding date, rumors are swirling which suggest they may never actually make it down the aisle.

According to one of the latest reports, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are currently involved in a dispute over their prenuptial agreement.

“Liam thinks it’s only fair he gets half [Miley Cyrus]’s fortune if they split up — or at least half what she makes during the marriage,” an insider explained to Radar Online on November 3.

Miley Cyrus is currently working on NBC’s The Voice and Hemsworth has starred in several recent movies. However, when it comes to their future in showbiz, Miley Cyrus may soon be bringing more to the table as she’s recently confirmed she will be returning to the The Voice for Season 13 next fall. Either way, her team is said to be completely against the idea of Hemsworth getting half of the money she makes during their marriage.

“[Miley Cyrus’s] people won’t hear of it, and have made it clear that’s never gonna happen,” said the insider. “There’s a growing feeling within Miley’s world that Liam’s using her as a meal ticket and this is a huge red flag.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth began dating in 2010 when they were in similar places in their careers. At the time, the couple was starring together in The Last Song and also worked separately on other movies. In the years that followed, Miley Cyrus appeared to refocus her career on her music, while Hemsworth continued to work on movies, including Independence Day: Resurgence and The Hunger Games.

As rumors surrounding Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s alleged relationship tension continue, the Radar Online source insists that Cyrus still wants to marry the actor, but says she wants to first see that Hemsworth can prove he is not with her for any sort of financial or career gain.

“[Miley Cyrus] wants to marry Liam, but not unless he proves in writing it’s about love and not about her money,” the source explained.

While Miley Cyrus has not yet confirmed or denied reports of her wedding date being pushed back or canceled, she did recently speak of her engagement ring — and how it doesn’t fit her typical style. During an interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show days ago, Miley Cyrus acknowledged her engagement ring and explained why she is often spotted without the stunning Neil Lane engagement ring.

“This is really weird because this is like real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy and they don’t look that good together because they kind of mix up,” Miley Cyrus explained to host Ellen DeGeneres, as reported by Us Weekly. “So sometimes I replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune [character].”

“He’s kind of like, ‘What’s going on?'” Miley Cyrus continued. “[And] I am like, ‘This isn’t really my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it because you love me.”

“He could have saved a lot of money by giving you a gummy bear ring,” Degeneres joked.

After the start of their relationship 2010, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got engaged in 2012 and in 2013, their engagement was called off. Although Miley Cyrus and her now-fiance ultimately chose to part ways and see other people, they got back together at the end of 2015, and earlier this year, Miley Cyrus was seen with her engagement ring back on.
