Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Split: Suri Comforts Mom In Malibu While Tom Cruise Finds A New Flame

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been able to keep their romance an open secret for years, but reports confirm that the pair had recently split and the Dawson’s Creek actress is still feeling devastated about it, the Daily Mail reports.

But despite the heartbreak Katie must be going through currently, she is lucky to have her daughter, Suri Cruise, to give her the comfort she desperately needs, which she got in spades during their Malibu trip on Thursday.

Katie and Suri were spotted enjoying a stroll at the exclusive beach community, with Tom Cruise’s daughter leaning close to her mom to give her physical and emotional comfort. Holmes appreciated the gesture from her daughter, smiling at her and pulling her close. The adorable Suri, wearing a red sports uniform, looked like she just finished attending a sports practice session.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were reported to have been dating for three years until the split happened. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jamie Foxx dumped Katie Holmes because she’s recently been pressuring him to publicize their romance. The Django Unchained star, however, wanted to keep his relationship with Katie an open secret.

Reports suggest that Holmes and Foxx refrained from admitting their relationship in public due to a divorce deal the former struck with Tom Cruise. The deal reportedly forbids the Batman Begins actress from dating publicly for seven years since the divorce became official, otherwise the Mission: Impossible actor will stop providing Suri support.

The divorce deal is scheduled to come to an end next year, and with that consideration in mind, one can assume that Katie broached the subject to Jamie.

A Radar Online insider reports that Katie was frustrated by Jamie’s refusal to make the relationship public because she’d been more than ready to marry him for some time now.

Tom Cruise, on the other hand, has reportedly been wooing a British woman for months, according to US Weekly. One source claimed that Tom is dead serious about making this relationship last. In fact, sources claim that Tom and his new flame have gone on bike rides in the countryside. Another insider said that the yet unnamed woman had also visited Tom Cruise’s London apartment. It’s not clear whether the Brit is a member of Scientology. If not, it remains to be seen whether Tom’s affiliation with the religion will cause an issue with their romance.

Despite her recent breakup with Foxx, Holmes still has a lot to celebrate about. While acting roles had been scarce in the last several years, the 37-year-old actress is now keeping herself busy with new cinematic projects, including comedy flick Coup D’etat due out in 2017. The actress will also have her directorial debut in the coming-of-age drama All We Had, which is set for a cinematic release in the U.S. on December 9. All We Had tells the story of a mother and her daughter who are trying to make a better life for themselves, which suggests that the film was inspired by Katie’s personal experience as a mother to Suri.

“I really like having creative control over projects. You put so much into it and it’s a lot of work but I can’t wait to do it again and again,” Holmes said.

“I definitely have a greater appreciation for all of the work and all of the directors that I have worked with have done.”

Suri Cruise’s mom will also be reprising her role as Jacqueline Kennedy in the 2017 miniseries The Kennedys: After Camelot. One of the actors cast for the mini-series is Matthew Perry, who will play the role of Ted Kennedy. The Kennedys: After Camelot is expected to come out in early 2017.
