‘Married At First Sight’ Season 4 Men Tell-All: Nick And Tom On Life After ‘MAFS,’ Staying Married, Having Kids In The Future

The highly anticipated Married at First Sight Season 4 finale aired last Tuesday, November 1 on FYI. Six months after the social experiment ended, MAFS couples Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados and Tom Wilson and Lillian Vilchez got to sit down with the experts and talk about their life after the cameras stopped rolling.

Fans of Married at First SightSeason 4 were thrilled to find out that both Nick and Sonia and Tom and Lillian decided to stay married. In a men tell-all interview with MAFS alum Jamie Otis, Nick and Tom opened up about what it was like getting married at first sight. Unsurprisingly, both Nick and Tom shared that living with a stranger, who also happens to be your wife, posed several challenges along the way.

“It’s not easy. Marriage take a lot of effort and patience. Especially if you’re giving 100 percent. The hardest part was not letting my word vomit out. Thinking about what I was going to say without saying it first is something I’ve been learning,” Tom shared

Nick and Tom, however, both believed that the Married At First Sight Season 4 experts did a great job matching them with their wives. Even if Lillian’s lifestyle is far from what he’s used to, Tom believed that they were able to find a way to make their relationship work. Given that six weeks flew by really fast, Nick hoped that the couples would be given more time off camera so they can get to know more about each other. He pointed out that it was difficult to balance filming and spending more time with Sonia and their families.

Jamie also took this opportunity to ask Nick about the infamous “I am not attracted to her” outburst he had mid-season. He explained that the comment was in no way a diss about Sonia’s appearance. Although he found Sonia beautiful, he shared that the chemistry just wasn’t there in the beginning. Nick added that the pressure of having cameras follow them everywhere they go did not help his situation.

“At the end of the day you can be physically attracted to someone but if there isn’t any chemistry then there just ‘ain’t no chemistry’ so that’s where that part came from. At that point in time the chemistry must have been negative,” Nick said.

Luckily, things worked out for Nick and Sonia in the end. In the last Married at First Sight Season 4 episode, the couple shared that they are both very excited to spend their lives together.

“I’m super excited about the future. I’m hoping that we continue to move past all the tribulations and trials that we’ve had. We’re building from the ground up and I can see myself falling in love with her.”

Nick also told Jamie that they definitely see kids in their future. The 32-year-old vacation rental manager, however, said that it would have to wait a little bit longer. Sonia believed that Nick would be a great father when that time comes.

“I love being married to you because I see the type of father that you will be. I love that about you. I think you will be a great great father,” she told Nick.

Meanwhile, Tom and Lillian may seem like they have the perfect marriage looking at the last Married at First Sight Season 4 episode. But when Jamie asked how the two of them are doing, Tom did not seem too excited to talk about married life.

“We’re trying our hardest to make this marriage work. It’s tough,” he told her.

Tom also dodged Jamie’s question about having kids in the future.

Do you think there’s trouble in paradise for Tom and Lillian? Were you surprised to see Nick and Sonia still together? Sound off in the comments below.
