‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Premiere Date: Michael Scofield Alive — Will He Get To Meet His Son?

Prison Break fans all around the world dropped to their knees and cried tears of joy when the reboot of the series was confirmed. While the Season 5 premiere date of Prison Break has yet to be confirmed, there are spoilers and other details about the reboot starting to surface.

Game N Guide reports that fans can rest easy as both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who play brothers in the TV series will be brought back for the premiere of Season 5. Season 5 is slated to take place seven years after the series originally came to a close. One of the teasers for fans to sink their teeth into while they wait for the official premiere of the series shows Michael’s son, who has never met his father, asking his mother questions about him. This, naturally, has made people speculate that there would be a reunion between father and son at some point in time during the reboot of the series.

It has been nearly a decade since fans got to enjoy their beloved Prison Break. While it has been a while, most may remember that Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, was assumed to be dead at the end of the series. It appears, however, as if Michael did not die.

The question is – is Michael the same character fans loved almost a decade ago?

Michael, Lincoln, and Sara will not be the only cast members returning to the Season 5 reboot of Prison Break. Fans will also get to see: Robert Knepper as T-bag, who is one of the most notorious members of the Fox River Eight and Fernando Sucre played by Amaury Nolasco, who was Michael’s cellmate at Fox River.

While the premiere date for Season 5 of Prison Break has yet to be confirmed, the Season is slated to run for nine episodes. Paul Schure, the original writer of Prison Break, has also been recruited to write these nine episodes. Based on the trailers and what information fans have been able to dig up, it appears as if Michael Scofield is stuck in a Yemeni prison and has been working with an ISIS-style terrorist group.

This, naturally, calls to question whether or not working for such a dark group has changed Michael in some ways. Will he be the same as he was before or has he darkened and lost his soul? The brief reunion between Michael and Lincoln in the trailer suggests there is some part of the old Michael still buried deep inside of him.

It is believed that Michael’s death is just a setup because the ISIS-related group he is working with puts his life at more risk than it was when he worked for the company. This is because the group is not believed to allow its members to quit. This information, however, does not stop Lincoln Burrows from tracking his brother down and saving him from Yemeni prison.

Game N Guide does reveal that the premiere date of Season 5 of Prison Break is rumored to happen sometime before April of 2017. Currently both of the lead actors Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell are also part of the cast for Legends of Tomorrow, and Season 2 of that series is currently airing on the CW.

Other Season 5 rumors include the fact that Sara has remarried and Paul Kellerman will make an appearance. Possibly the saddest rumor about Season 5 of Prison Break is the fact that fans may have to say goodbye to Lincoln Burrows as rumors have started to fly that he is going to die before the series reboot comes to a close.
