Age really is just a number.

An 82-year-old Austrian granny took on an armed bank robber by herself, despite the would-be thief brandishing a gun and claiming to have a bomb, reports MSN. Hertha Wallecker attacked the masked man who burst into a bank in St. Egyden am Steinfeld waving a gun around and going about the business of what your usual Hollywood film calls for in a bank robber.

Annoyed with the bank robber, Wallecker struck him with her handbag and attempted to pull off his mask, even though he threatened to shoot her. “That’s the bank’s money, if you want money get a job you lazy devil,” Wallecker reportedly shouted to the bank robber, according to the Telegraph.

The bank robber stuffed money into a bag, but Wallecker stepped up for round two, this time actually managing to pull his mask off in full view of the bank’s security cameras. As he frantically tried to put his mask back on, she pulled at the money bag, and the cash spilled all over the floor. So, basically, bank robbery ruined.

The bank robber finally decided to just leave and clamored into a getaway car waiting outside of the bank. We don’t know whether he had an accomplice, but, if he did, we can only imagine his confession after climbing in empty-handed. Still, the bank got plenty of evidence with the cameras and fingerprints, and the police were able to track down and arrest a 62-year-old man on suspicion of robbery.

Explaining her actions, Mrs. Wallecker practically narrated her own film trailer:

“I hate injustice. I come from a family with 16 children and you learn in a group like that to make sure everybody gets a fair share,” she later told the press. “I get 800 euros a month as a pension, and I had to work really hard to have the right to do that. When I hear about anybody stealing anything it just makes me really angry.”

“There were also men there,” the granny reportedly said. “None of them lifted a finger.”

“I would do it again but my nephew told me it was mad and I could have been shot,” she added.
