Prince Michael Jackson In Rare Interview Says His Father Told Him To ‘Trust No One.”

Prince Michael Jackson, the son of the late King of Pop revealed in a rare interview that his father told him to “trust no one.”

Prince opened up to the LA Times, telling the publication how he has been coping with his father’s death. The music video maker confessed that his father’s pessimistic advice was something that he took very seriously.

“He said don’t trust someone just because it sounds like a good idea—do your research. There are a lot of people who want to interact with me and my siblings because of just who we are.”

Prince Michael Jackson said he and his siblings have knuckled up, but are still trying to get used to the attention. He particularly revealed that he had incorporated parts of his father into his daily life to deal with his status.

“The way I cope with it is incorporating him into my life in every way. My brother and my sister, we’ve all coped differently. I’ve gotten better the older I get.”

Prince is getting used to being Michael Jackson’s son and knows that he will never escape public scrutiny. Even when he was a baby, he was hogging headlines after an eager Michael dangled him over a balcony. There was also a picture that went viral of a 12-year-old Prince Michael hugging his 11-year-old sister, Paris at their father’s funeral

Prince admitted that everyone felt that he could sing and dance like his father, but jokingly added that he could do neither. Jackson is into entertainment, shooting his first music video this year for Omer “O-Bee” and another one for the Sco Triplets. The 19-year-old’s entertainment company is called King’s Son Productions, a tribute to his iconic father whose Thriller album in 1982 remains the best selling album of all time with 65 million copies worldwide.

Prince Michael said that being around his father, meant that music was going to be part of his life, but he was drawn to production and directing. According to him, he used to binge watch music videos with his dad, with the sound off. His father always made it a point to point out interesting camera angles and take him along when he had a shoot to do.

Despite being the son of arguably one of the world’s most impactful musicians, Prince still tries to live life like the average Joe; his handsome face lighting up as he talks about video games, movies and weekend plans with his junior brother.

Surprisingly, despite running in entertainment circles, Prince prefers to work under the radar, avoiding social media and gossip blogs. Considering that he is trying to push his entertainment company, he might not be able to stay out of public glare for long.

Prince spends plenty of time at Hayvenhurst, a two-acre estate that served as a source of inspiration for his father. Presently, his 18-year-old sister, Paris lives in the guesthouse since the main house in under renovation.

M.J. lived at the estate in the mid-80’s after moving from his Neverland ranch in Santa Barbara County. The place is still a Jackson shrine with the walls peppered with hundreds of portraits of the pop star hanging out with celebrities like Diana Ross, Brooke Shields and Jane Fonda.

Photos that would people would pay $1,000’s for, nothing more than family photos to the Michael Jackson heir. The M.J. estate has grossed more than $2 billion since the demise of the King of Pop. It was left to his mother and his kids, with 20% percent of what is generated annually penciled for charity.

Prince admits that he does not have a relationship with his biological mother, Debbie Rowe. Rowe terminated all parental rights in 2001. Recently, Paris reconnected with her after finding out that she had breast cancer.

The 19-year-old revealed that he had two mother figures in his life, his cousin, Frances and grandmother. Prince fully understands the choices that his dad made as a parent and realized that he was set to live a highly unconventional life when his dad told them; they needed to wear masks to go out.

“He told us the reason for the masks was he wanted us to have our own life without him.”
