Kim Kardashian Robbery: Kris Jenner Looking To ‘Make Millions’ From Movie Deal [Report]
Kim Kardashian was reportedly tied up and robbed at gunpoint of more than $10 million worth of jewelry while in Paris, France, for Paris Fashion Week on October 2, but is mom Kris Jenner now looking to turn Kardashian’s ordeal into a movie?
According to reports, Jenner is allegedly in the process of assembling a pitch for a new movie based on Kardashian’s scary ordeal, which she’s supposedly hoping to “make millions” from.
“[Kris is] frantically assembling a movie concept to pitch to the studios,” an insider alleged to Radar Online of Kris’s supposed plans to capitalize on Kim’s robbery. “She sees it as a glamorous thriller to rival The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.”
The site’s insider went on to reveal that Jenner is supposedly considering who could be cast in the robbery movie, and has allegedly been telling friends that she “only wants to see A-list actors in starring roles,” much like The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, which featured big names like Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta, David Schwimmer, and Sarah Paulson.
“Kris is fantasizing about Mila Kunis or Natalie Portman playing Kim,” continued the insider of Jenner’s thoughts on casting.
Kris is yet to speak out regarding reports claiming she’s looking to capitalize on Kardashian’s robbery by turning her terrifying ordeal into a movie, though the site appeared to suggest that there’s a pretty good chance Jenner could get the project to air sooner rather than later.
“Kris is a woman who is used to getting her way,” Radar Online claimed of the chances of the Kim robbery movie seeing the light of day.
But while Jenner has yet to confirm the reports, claims that she’s looking to pitch a re-telling of Kardashian’s ordeal in movie form come just days after it was alleged that Kim and Kris haven’t exactly been seeing eye to eye since Kardashian returned to the U.S. from Paris in the early hours on October 3.
Radar Online reported last month that Kim Kardashian had allegedly grown wise to Kris Jenner’s “controlling” ways since taking some time away from the spotlight following her robbery and has supposedly opened her eyes to the “money-making machine” that Jenner runs via her children Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
“Kim never realized how much her mother and the money-making machine was controlling her until this robbery,” a source told the site, seemingly alluding to a feud between the mother-daughter duo by admitting that Kris’s ways are “causing a huge wedge” between Kardashian and Jenner.
“[Kim] cannot believe that Kris could even think of putting the show before her well-being,” the source continued, hinting that Jenner could have been encouraging Kardashian to return to filming for Keeping Up with the Kardashians after the E! reality series was put on hiatus for close to a month while Kim recovered.
The site’s Kardashian source also went on to reveal that Kim has been thinking about her father Rob Kardashian, who passed away in 2003, a lot in the wake of her scary robbery, and now wants to return to the Kim that he knew before the Kardashian family became so famous.
“[Kim] told her family that she wanted to be the girl that her father wanted her to be and not the girl that she became with Kris’s help,” a source said. “Kim is just starting to think that maybe Kris’s intentions were not pure all along.”
