Mitt Romney Assassination Threats Increase Following Success In Debates

All the pundits predicted that Obama would demolish Romney in the debates, and so completely impress American voters that his re-election was guaranteed. However, Romney shellacked the President in their first debate, and more than held his own in the second debate, causing a noticeable increase in threats to assassinate the Republican candidate for President.

Following last night’s second debate, Twitter exploded in a flurry of Tweets demanding death of Mitt Romney. Many of the sickening posts fell in line with some of the more extreme Democratic talking points; expressing the fear that Romney would take away food stamps or prevent women from being able to obtain abortions. The only solution the authors of the hateful messages could imagine was to call the candidate’s violent murder.

Currently, the race for President is too close to call. Some polls have Romney ahead and others have Obama leading. Since the President’s dismal performance in the first debate and his failure to land any serious blows against his opponent last night, Obama’s supporters are beginning to realize there is a possibility their guy may lose the election. As a result, the fear of defeat has brought out the truly ugly side of partisan politics with the disgusting flood of threats to kill a candidate for President of the United States.
