Emmys Ratings Take a Nosedive

The Emmy Awards ratings ended up tanking at number lower than last year– probably. If you think about it, it’s not much of a surprise: boring skits, a ton of bad dresses, and (more importantly) some serious issues weighing us down in other areas. Egads:

“An average of 12.2 million viewers tuned in to ABC’s three-hour event, slipping 5% compared with last year’s telecast on Fox, according to early data from Nielsen Media Research. This year’s tally looked to be the lowest since Nielsen started using “people meters” in 1987.”

The reports were quick to point out that “Final figures to be released Tuesday will likely rise a bit after some statistical adjustments.” We’ll see about that!
