Miranda Lambert Had ‘Open Conversation’ About Marriage, Children With Anderson East
Miranda Lambert has had “an open conversation” about her aspirations to be a wife and mother in the near future, an insider reported this weekend.
The insider — who is close to the 33-year-old singer — told E! News on Saturday that Miranda Lambert and her boyfriend Anderson East have discussed the possibility about tying the knot. The unnamed source revealed that it’s “just a matter of time” before Anderson East asks Miranda Lambert to marry him.
“If it was up to Anderson he would marry Miranda today… Miranda is very happy with Anderson. They have gotten very close. Her friends think this is the guy for her.”
Lambert is in agreement with her friends, according to the source. Lambert — who celebrated her birthday on November 10 — is ready to settle down and have children with the country musician after dating Anderson East for nearly a year, the insider explained.
“She wants to get married again and have children soon. That has been an open conversation between her and Anderson. He wants the same.”
Anderson East also ensured that Miranda Lambert had a memorable birthday this year, according to the source. The 28-year-old East reportedly held a “special celebration” for Lambert while giving her multiple “thoughtful” gifts.
Publicly, Anderson East shared a photograph of the couple in front of Niagara Falls on his Instagram account to mark the occasion. The insider told E! News that East wants to treat Miranda Lambert like a princess, a stark change for the “Vice” singer from her first marriage.
“Even when it’s not her birthday he spoils her in his way. He tells Miranda all the time how pretty and amazing she is and how he is lucky to have her as his lady.”
Miranda Lambert has fought off critics of her relationship with Anderson East. The “House That Built Me” singer took to Instagram last week after posting a picture of the two on the red carpet, disputing followers’ comments that suggested she looked unhappy with East in the image.
“Last night I was all dolled up and ‘out on the town’ with my sweet man at the CMA awards in Nashville. I was excited about the night and posted a picture. Just now when I looked I realized so many comments were judgmental and negative. Thank y’all for reminding me why I read books, write songs, and spend most of my time with animals and people I trust and love.”
Miranda Lambert is less than a week away from launching a double album entitled The Weight of These Wings. Miranda Lambert surrounded herself with familiar faces to write songs for this album, according to Rolling Stone magazine. Joining the country music star is fellow Pistol Annie singer Ashley Monroe, Brent Cobb, and Anderson East to write songs on the 24-track album being released November 18.
Her two-disc album isn’t the only place Miranda Lambert fans will be able to hear her music this holiday season. Miranda and Sting are two of the acts scheduled to perform at the Macy’s Day Parade on Thanksgiving Day, according to UPI.
The parade will air on CBS on November 24 from 9 a.m. to noon. Kevin Frazier from Entertainment Tonight and Keltie Knight from The Insider will host the event.
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton announced their divorced in July 2015 after four years of marriage. Blake Shelton is now dating Gwen Stefani after the couple met, having been coaches on The Voice together last year.
