Apple iPhone OS 3.1 Is Officially Available Today

Apple officially released iPhone OS 3.1 today with a new feature called “Genius recommendations” for the App Store. The new OS is available today for free to any iPhone and iPod users with 3.0 already installed on their devices. I’ll get more posted as soon as it’s announced.

Update: As promised here’s some extra features found on the iPhone 3.1.1 OS

• Genius Mixes
• Organize Apps Directly To iTunes
• Improved syncing for music, movies, tv shows, podcasts and other offerings
• iTunes U Content  Organization
• Redeem iTunes Gift Cards, Codes and Certificates in the App Store
• Display iTunes credits in the App Store and iTunes Store
