Kate Gosselin Fired, But Tweets To Fans Ambiguously That She Is Doing Okay

Kate Gosselin was fired from her Coupon Cabin blogging job, as we reported yesterday, in what seems to be a string of bad luck for the reality TV mom of eight.

News that Kate Gosselin was fired as a blogger began to circulate earlier this week after Coupon Cabin took the unusual and telling step of publicly distancing themselves from the star on their deals site. In a post to Coupon Cabin users, CEO Scott Kluth announced that Kate Gosselin had been fired, telling readers of the site:

“A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago, and that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin.”

Kluth continued:

“It’s with this that I am writing to inform you of our decision to discontinue Ms. Gosselin’s feature blog on CouponCabin.com. Ms. Gosselin’s contributions garnered both positive attention and criticism, but as always, I respect and appreciate your candid opinions, which often encourage us not to lose sight of our mission — to help YOU save money.”

Coupon Cabin fan reaction to the news Kate Gosselin was fired seemed strongly in favor of the move, which may have come from recent allegations in a tell-all book that Gosselin was cruel and possibly abusive to the Gosselin children as well as a family pet. Kate has denied the allegations, and the book itself has not been verified nor has it been picked up by a major publisher.

While Kate Gosselin did not mention the company that fired her by name on Twitter, she did check in with fans to let them know she was weathering her most recent public drama. Gosselin commented:

Do you think Kate Gosselin was fired unfairly by Coupon Cabin?
