Kim Kardashian Latest Controversy: Kim Will Not Attend Event Honoring Her Father

Kim Kardashian is the subject of a new controversy and this time it involves her father, Robert Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian is reportedly still too affected by the Paris robbery to be in attendance at an event honoring her father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003 after succumbing to cancer. According to reports, Kim K is still laying low after the traumatizing incident, and there is a possibility that she will not be present to honor her belated father. A source familiar with the matter stated that the reality show superstar had previously confirmed her attendance but her name had been removed from the list of people attending the event.

“Kim is not expected to attend at this time,” revealed one of the representatives of the event.

The rest of the Kardashians are expected to attend the event which is known as the Angel Ball which will be held on November 21 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. The event is held annually to raise funds for cancer research. Robert Kardashian who was a well-known lawyer lost the fight to cancer in 2003.

Kim Kardashian who is married to popular rapper Kanye West has also canceled a few other scheduled attendances since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. She has also been shying off from social media, thus suggesting that she has not yet gotten over the traumatic experience. However, she recently attended Mr. West’s concert in Los Angeles, meaning she might be recovering and is probably ready to get back into the public limelight. There is a possibility that Kim will attend the event though it is yet to be confirmed.

“It was a very traumatic experience. It’s not good. She’s got things to work out. [But] she may show up. We’ll see,” stated one of the sources familiar with the story.

The popular entrepreneur and star of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality TV show faced what is most likely to be the worst moment of her life during the robbery. A gang of five armed men broke into her hotel room at Hôtel de Pourtalès in Paris on October 3 robbed her of jewelry worth roughly $8.5 million. The robbers gagged Kim K and tied her up in the bathroom before exiting the scene. She was very shaken by the ordeal and has since then maintained a low profile from the prying eyes of the media.

Unfortunately, the police have not yet captured the robbers. If caught, they might face at least 30 years in prison each for kidnapping, armed robbery, and criminal conspiracy. Despite the unfortunate situation, Kim’s life seems to be slowly getting back on track. A spokesperson for E! reported that production of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is back in full swing. The show had been temporarily put on hold after the robbery.

During the Los Angeles concert, Kanye West acknowledged Kim’s presence along with a few other sentimental words such as how lucky he was to have her at the show. Kim’s lifestyle requires her to constantly make high-profile appearances, most of which she gets paid for. This means that she will have to get back to that very soon, but this time she will be a bit more careful, and her security team will be more vigilant.

The Angel Ball is a very significant event for her family as well as the memory of Robert Kardashian which is why it is important that Kim should be there. Also, the event is about three weeks away, which is enough time for Kim Kardashian to change her mind avoid a whole new controversy from the demanding public.
