‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Bad Boy Chad Johnson Joins ‘Famously Single’ Cast, Follows In Josh Murray’s Footsteps

When Chad Johnson whistled his way off JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette, many fans thought it would be the last time he would appear on TV. But now the smack-talking, groin-pumping, Oklahoma resident is doing everything in his power, including being nice to people, to keep his name in lights.

Months after Chris Harrison booted Chad off Bachelor in Paradise, Johnson made a brief appearance on Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After, Freeform’s yawn-worthy spinoff that stars Bachelor Ben Higgins and his bride-to-be, Lauren Bushnell.

Although he hasn’t been able to land his own reality TV show, Reality Steve has confirmed that Chad will reportedly follow in Josh Murray‘s footsteps and join the cast of the E! reality dating series Famously Single.

“Because a spinoff show he was trying to pitch garnered zero interest from any TV networks, our resident bad boy Chad Johnson will have to join an already existing cast as I’ve learned that Chad will be on the next season of Famously Single. They haven’t started filming yet, but it starts soon from what I hear, and that Chad is set to be on [sic] the cast.”

Chad’s desire to stay in the spotlight has been painfully obvious to anyone who follows him on social media. But it appears that Chad has been softening his image just a bit. Maybe it was necessary to tone it down to score a season-long gig on E!’s Famously Single?

Perhaps thrusting his groin in a pair of old, gray sweatpants or tossing raw chicken across the kitchen hoping it would land on a $20 George Foreman grill isn’t as entertaining as he thought.

After admitting on Twitter that he “apologized for two hours” to some of his co-stars during the taping of a recent episode of Ben and Lauren, Chad’s been noticeably nicer and has all but stopped his constant bashing of Bachelor franchise stars.

“I know I’m not supposed to talk about “Behind the Scenes” stuff,” Johnson tweeted. “But I apologized for two hours straight. Yes, two hours straight.”

Interestingly enough, Chad hasn’t just stopped talking smack about Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise contestants, he’s also doing something he previously called them out for — using reality TV “fame” to make money online.

It appears Chad is channeling his inner Shawn Booth (The Bachelorette) and/or Cody Sattler (Bachelor In Paradise 2), he’s been talking non-stop on Snapchat about plans for a new website that will feature some sort of fitness and meal plan type business.

So, what is Famously Single about? When Bachelor in Paradise star Josh Murray filmed the first season of the E! reality TV show last November, he spent one month living with seven other single celebrities in house in Los Angeles.

This may be why Chad has been shopping up a storm and showing off his purchases on Snapchat. During most of his recent appearances, he’s been wearing the same black shirt and gray suit, so it’s clear that he is trying to spiff himself up for his new TV venture.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, on the first season of the show, the celebrities tried to solve their romantic problems with the help of relationship expert Dr. Darcy Sterling. They were all put through a variety of challenges that were created to help them have better relationships outside of the show.

Filming has not started yet, but for anyone who follows Chad Johnson on social media, it won’t be long before we know. Expect his social media posts to go silent while he’s in L.A. filming Famously Single and, hopefully, he’ll get some tips on how to find a relationship that doesn’t include rose ceremonies or drunken hot tub scenes.

After all, it seemed to work out for Josh Murray. Just a few months after Josh finished filming Famously Single, he met his fiance, Amanda Stanton, on Bachelor in Paradise.
