Calvin Harris Gets His Last Digs In At Taylor Swift, Despite Making Amends

Calvin Harris is not quite done shading his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. The Scottish DJ dropped his new music video for “My Way,” which is said to be about their relationship. However, he denied the rumors that his latest single was written about his famous ex-girlfriend.

That didn’t stop the 32-year-old artist from taking another jab at Taylor Swift in his new music video. In the new music video for “My Way,” Harris, 32, is seen wearing a virtual reality headset and experiences a breakup with a girl who looks somewhat like Swift, according to Us Weekly. She’s also seen wearing some of Swift’s similar outfits from some of her iconic music videos.

In one of the scenes, Harris’ love interest suddenly levitates in his living room, making the same pose Swift did in her 2015 music video for “Bad Blood.” She’s also seen wearing a white outfit similar to the one Swift wore in her music video. In another shot, Harris and his love interest are seen sitting across each other at a long table, which looks like something out of Swift’s music video for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” She’s also rocking a retro polka dot dress, just like something Swift would wear back in her Red days.

And, it continues. According to E! Online, Harris’ video ex-girlfriend stands up on a horse like Swift did in her music video for “Blank Space,” and at the end of the “My Way” music video, she wears a black leather outfit that’s similar to the one Swift rocked in “Bad Blood.”

Fans previously assumed that Harris’ new single was about his split with his former flame. They were quick to decipher the lyrics and assume that they were dissing his ex-girlfriend. Harris was quick to deny the rumors and explain the real meaning behind the song in an interview with iHeartRadio back in September.

“It’s breaking out of a situation,” the famed producer said. “I was trying to move to London, and I was working in [a grocery store] in Scotland, I was trying to go on and make music for a living but I couldn’t because I didn’t have any money. I was like, damn this grocery store! If I could break out of this I could have enough time to work on music and get good.”

The lyrics of the single include lines such as, “Why wait to say, at least I did it my way? Lie awake two-faced, but in my heart I understand,” as well as, “I made my move and it was all about you. I feel so far removed. You are the one thing in my way.”

Harris and Swift ended their 15-month relationship, breaking the hearts of Tayvin fans everywhere, back in June. Swift then rebounded two weeks later with British actor Tom Hiddleston. The split between the two was not completely amicable as it was previously assumed. Harris went on a social media meltdown against Swift in July after it was reported that she co-wrote the lyrics and melody for his hit single “This Is What You Came For,” which features Rihanna.

He later revealed to British GQ that he regretted publicly lashing out at her on social media.

“It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me, and that was when I snapped. I’m not good at being a celebrity, but when it ended, all hell broke loose. Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters. I’m a positive guy.”

TMZ reported that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have been talking again. The exes have now turned friends and have been texting each other. They decided to put an end to their own bad blood. However, they have not spoken on the phone or in person, according to an alleged inside source.
