Selena Gomez Is ‘Miserable’ As She Treats Lupus In A Tennessee Rehab

Selena Gomez is currently treating symptoms of Lupus in a rehab center outside of Nashville, Tennessee, but is she hoping to return home to Los Angeles sooner rather than later?

According to a new report, Selena Gomez is miserable and may actually quit her treatment program.

“Selena Gomez is reportedly struggling with her decision to cancel her Revival World Tour and seek treatment for her mental health issues,” Surghar Daily revealed to readers on October 26. The outlet also revealed that In Touch Weekly had claimed days prior that Selena Gomez was “desperate” to leave the facility.

Selena Gomez announced she would be canceling her Revival World Tour nearly 2 months ago and has remained completely silent in regard to her ongoing care and choices in rehab ever since.

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” Selena Gomez said in a statement to People Magazine on August 30. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”

“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues,” she continued.

Weeks after Selena Gomez’s announcement to fans, a report confirmed the singer had checked into a rehab facility in Tennessee that was “private” and “quiet” but also “super intense.”

“Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” a source close to Selena Gomez told Us Weekly earlier this month. “She can go to a very dark place.”

Since checking into rehab, Selena Gomez has been spotted numerous times around Nashville. During one outing, Gomez was seen with her mother, Mandy Teefy, and her step-father, Brian Teefy, as she enjoyed a meal at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. One day later, Selena Gomez met her grandparents for a quick breakfast nearby.

While Selena Gomez was visiting the Texas Roadhouse restaurant, she posed for several photos with fans and even made a couple of videos.

Selena Gomez has faced many rumors since she began her treatment program, but judging by recent photos of the star outside of the facility, she appears to be doing quite well. Although her hair is noticeably shorter these days, she is typically smiling and looking content in recent photos.

Selena Gomez’s Revival World Tour kicked off in May of this year in Las Vegas and was supposed to continue until December when she was scheduled to play a number of shows in Mexico. As fans may recall, Selena Gomez faced rumors of a romance with Orlando Bloom in May after he showed up to her concert’s after party in Sin City. In photos, Selena Gomez appeared to be sitting very close to Bloom in a VIP booth. However, Bloom was dating Katy Perry at the time and continues to be involved with the singer, who is known to be feuding with Gomez’s best friend, Taylor Swift.
