Beyonce Is Super Bowl Halftime Show Performer [Report]

Beyonce will perform at halftime of the Super Bowl XXXVII in February, and the official announcement is due tomorrow according to insiders.

AP has an unnamed source for the Beyonce NFL Super Bowl Superdome appearance:

“A source familiar with the Super Bowl told The Associated Press the Grammy-winning diva will take the stage at the halftime show on Feb. 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because that person wasn’t authorized to publicly reveal the information….”

“If Beyonce’s performance at the Pepsi NFL Halftime Show features collaborations, it could likely include husband-rapper Jay-Z and her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.”

According to the Bleacher Report, Beyonce, 31, seems to be a safe choice for the Super Bowl halftime show:

“Beyonce seems to be the common middle ground to what the NFL wants the halftime show to be. She appeals to the young demographic that watches the show and is insanely popular, so most people will not have to do a huge catch-up on her catalog to figure out what she is singing. ”

“She is smart enough and classy enough to not try to ruffle any feathers during her performance on a stage as big as this.”

Beyonce, a winner of 16 Grammy Awards, has performed at the NFL Super Bowl once before. She sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII (2004) in Houston, her hometown. New Orleans previously hosted the Super Bowl in 2002.

Do you think Beyonce is a good choice for the Super Bowl halftime musical entertainment?
