‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7: Lesbian Sansa To Romance Arya Stark?

Game of Thrones Season 7 is in its early production stage. Like every season of HBO’s epic fantasy drama series, the upcoming season has already created a lot of buzz among the fans. From the recent reports, it looks like the upcoming season of GoT is going to show an incestuous relationship between Arya (Maisie Williams) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).

In the TV series adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s epic fantasy saga, fans have already seen that the story follows some bizarre romantic sequences among the lead characters. The scandalous incestuous relationship between Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his sister Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) has always remained the topic of discussion among the fans. Now, it looks like the fans are going to see a new incestuous relationship in the upcoming seasons.

Turner’s character, Sansa, has been emotionally and physically molested by different men in the series. In Season 1, she was under the scrutiny of Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson). After escaping from his cage, she was married to Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage). Although Tyrion never physically harmed her, getting married to a dwarf was very challenging for Sansa.

When she thought that things would be easier for her after the murder of Joffrey, she found herself under the wrath of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), who sexually abused her.

In an earlier interview with Time, Turner revealed that the rape scene with Ramsay was the hardest scene she has ever filmed in her life.

“To have to do a really intense scene, like the rape scene last season, we couldn’t really sleep beforehand, Iwan and I. During the day, it was a bit awkward. But afterward you just go to Safe Haven, which is the hotel bar, and sort yourselves out.”

Now, in Season 6, fans finally saw Turner’s character evolving into the lady she always dreamed of. There were episodes in the previous season that showed how she took control of certain issues and came to a solid conclusion.

In her earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, Turner stated that since her character has been suffered at the hands of different men, she thinks that it is best for Sansa to have a lesbian partner for herself.

“In the Game of Thrones universe, I think she’s going to have to swing the other way — because the men thing isn’t working for her. Judging by Sansa’s relationship with Margaery… probably Margaery.”

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 10 showed the sudden death of Margaery Tyrell along with her kin and High Sparrow. Sansa romancing Margaery is now out of the question, but Turner also talked about one major character from the show during her interview that changes everything.

During her interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sophie further revealed that her younger sister on the show, Arya Stark, could also serve a good sexual partner for her character.

“I’d love a love scene between Arya and Sansa.”

It is not yet confirmed if fans of Game of Thrones will get to see Sansa getting intimate with her younger sister Arya in Season 7. But if the creators will consider Sophie’s wish of romancing a woman, then it would be interesting to see how these two major female characters will pull off that sequence.

Meanwhile, leaked photos of the upcoming season have already provided a glimpse. According to The Wrap, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) will finally meet Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

The leaked photo doesn’t reveal much about the scene. However, it does confirm the meeting of the two most prominent characters from the fantasy show.
